New GREDDY Type RS....have a leak??

I just purchased a new bov from a store off of ebay. Its a true greddy but I've been having a boost leak problem and finally found it today. On the bov where the blue cone type thing screws in, there is a pin size hole on the inside a of the bov. just past the threads. I'm stuck I don't know what to do, I am about to email them and see if i can get another one, but if they don't anyone have any ideas.... thanks..

How did you determine the BOV is what's leaking. Boost leak test?

UPDATE....forgot to ask...As of right now i'm venting to atomosphere which i know isn't the way to go. I'm about to order the recir. kit anyway. but question is with the recirulation kit. will that pin size hole mentioned above still cause my car to run like crap if the the leaking air is goin straight to the intake pipe??? thanks again.

Yea...couple hours doin it..boos leak test. then finally just took of my 90 degree that have the bov on it and just tested that single pipe.

pin sized hole... if its leaking out then the hole must be exposed. right? im not too familiar with the Greddy BOV but can you just seal it with a tiny bit of JBweld?

It shouldnt cause a problem since its not leaking air to atmosphere, since its goin back into the intake. i may be wrong though

Do you have a pic of where this whole is at? If i remember correctly the do have a small whole built into them but it doesnt leak. Make sure you take out the adjustment screw and put teflon tape on it as i and many others have had a boost leak from there.

If you would have searched about the problem you would have found that your problem is that metal valve is not sealing shut all the way. I had the exact same issue (TWICE). There is almost a notch (I'm assuming that is the "pin hole" that you are talking about) on the valve itself and the only way that will seal is if the valve itself seals with the base of the BOV. My bet is that you have a defective one.... just like I had.

We bought the same bov off ebay, it says greddy but it is a knockoff, the little pin hole is just to let the air out on the other side of the diaphram inside the bov.

Well i paid like 180 for it so it better not be a knock off!! Yah I was thinking bout tryin the jb weld idea. probable tonight. There is no notch, no sure what you mean. if your looking a the bov take the adaptor off and that pin size hole is on the inside just past the threads on the bottom. but the whole isn't all the way in there like where wthe diaphram is.

Yeah if you paid that much for it, I would think it isnt a knock off. The one i bought has a hole like you described and it goes through to the other side of the diaphram.

i also have the GReddy Type RS BOV..yes there is a little hole, it doesnt create a boost leak for me, and my car runs great (today at least, i mean it is a DSM). and no its not a knock off...
