Anyone know about the new BOV. It's a compromise of the S and R (40mm Valve Diameter) and a whole lot better looking than both. I wonder about re-circ capabilities (weird blue flange) and how much pressure it will hold. Comments...?

Oh, and I did a search, but as you can imagine there were a lot of misses on a site with RS as a trim of the car and with GReddy BOVs so popular. If it's a repost... Sorry!

I saw this bov a couple days ago. Def a good looking piece. From what Ive read, they do have an optional recirc fitting for it, but Im not sure if it is included in the kit. I would probably stick with the Type-S, but for someone who wants to vent and wants a reliable greddy bov, its def a good looking piece. :talon:

Created to be the most reliable blow off valve system available, the Type-RS’s state of-the art design allows for greater performance in a compact size. Improved response and increased pressure are achieved through carefullyselected spring rates and a large 40mm valve. The real unique feature of the Type-RS blow off valve is the CNC machined 8 discharge ports that draw in the surrounding air to amplify the blow-off sound. The Type-RS is compatible with the standard GReddy Blow-off Valve flanges.
Key Features:

-The Type-RS features high capacity performance, and a compact frame that set new standards for blow off valves.
-The Type-RS features an 8 discharge ports that draw in surrounding air and release a unique discharge sound.
-The Type-RS features a 40mm, hard-anodized valve for increased airflow.
-High-quality diaphragm and short stroke significantly increase response.
-The Type-RS’s dual spring system promoted response and allows for high boost pressures.
-The Type-RS features optional discharge adapters for rerouting discharged air.
-Built for easy adaptability the Type-RS uses the same two-bolt flanges as the Type S and Type R valves.

Very interested. I would hope that if someone on here gets one they will let us know how it goes. Also if this uses the same flange, so could you just unbolt the old Type s and bolt this one on without changing the gasket? Also wonder if it is easier to tune then the Type s.

That looks sweet as hell. It also looks like there's only one nipple, so no more confusion about the 2nd nipple. I think i might get one!

I think that it is a direct replacement.

I would be interested to get one for sure, just wonder about recirculation, like does the BOV come with the kit already to enable you to, or do you need to buy it.....also still wonder if it is easier to adjust then the Type-s...

Just got off the phone with someone from extremepsi.com who told me that Greddy will have a recirculation kit but it is not available right now, nor do they have a price.

Its actually pretty cheap being such a new piece.

They better set a great price or they will lose all their business to ebay. I don't buy on ebay usually, but I will if shops don't stop price gouging... :thumbdown

The Ebay description says something about a re-circulation hose adapter. Will this let it re-circulate with out a seperate kit?

Same thing here, WSU99GSX. I just recieved an email back from www.blowoffvalves.com and they said that the Greddy Type RS is a vent to atmosphere BOV and that a seperate kit will be needed to make it re-circulate.

I emailed one of the sellers on ebay with this item about him listing the kit in the description, and he told me that it does come with the kit. So I don't know who to trust on this one. I might just buy it and if it comes with great, if not I will wait.

yeah why not run a type-s ? They are loud (if thats what your looking for). Also they easily bolt up and can recir. Their going for cheap 150.00 online cant beat that. I was thinking of picking one up just for the good prices right now.

The reason for running the type-rs is that if flows better, has a more compact frame, isn't purple :D and is about 20 bucks more than a type-s (That's pretty cheap).

Yeah, so I just ordered one for no reason at all. I've come to the conclusion that I have a problem when it comes to online shopping. I think I may need help. Impulse buys SUCK!

It's being overnighted from Titan, I'll keep you guys posted.
