New GReddy BOV - Type RS

Anyone know about the new BOV. It's a compromise of the S and R (40mm Valve Diameter) and a whole lot better looking than both. I wonder about re-circ capabilities (weird blue flange) and how much pressure it will hold. Comments...?

Oh, and I did a search, but as you can imagine there were a lot of misses on a site with RS as a trim of the car and with GReddy BOVs so popular. If it's a repost... Sorry!

I don't have Paypal, so eBay is usually off limits to me. I paid 190 shipped. Didn't really bother shopping around...

And I don't even know if I like the RS yet, no idea why I bought it. It might be up for sale the day I receive it...

IMO it's gonna be just like all the rest of Greedy's BOV's. Leaky peices of monkey turd that actually cause what they're designed to stop, comp surge.

Only BOV's i would touch would be HKS, Tial, or Blitz.

Of those 3 only 1 is worthy of eclusivity. The Tial is one of the best out there for us DSM guys. I had a SSHKS once and it was junk, plain and simple. Blitz is sub-par in my book for the same reasons. Niether one would stop leaking at the flange.

I then went to a GReddy-S and have sucessfully pushed 30psi all the way down the highway through 5th till cut. Different strokes for different folks is all I am getting at.

Got mine today, looks really nice. Compact and I like that large opening. Now all I need is for Greddy to release the recirc kit I need.

I just installed one Today and sounds pretty nice. Releases a lot better then the crushed 1g i had. The bigger valve then the Type S is nice as well. Easy to adjust and fairly easy to install since its the same mount as the type S. Got mine for 172 with 2nd day air shipping and couldnt be happier

Did you recirc? If so where did you get the kit? Also it is easier to adjust then the Type-s? Like I said ealier finding the right spot the the Type-s was a pain....

Oh I didn't order the BOV, I was just posting the price they have on there. I went to the website and saw the bov on the homepage, then I came here to search if anyone has started a thread on it and I ended up here.

I like the way this one sounds, the Type-S doesn't appeal to me. My brother has it on his 3/S ....it's funny because his exhaust note is deep but when he shifts you hear this loud high pitched whistle. It doesn't go together.

It's odd though, when I installed my FIPK, I didn't put the little bracket that holds it up and the BOV sounded the same as it always did (1G BOV). But I decided one day to put the bracket on because the filter was pointing down; being so heavy. I didn't expect it to do anything except hold it up but I drove it out and noticed that the BOV got considerably louder, and it sounds like this Greddy RS one.
