So after not getting any responses to a previous thread I decided to ask again, after installing a 16g my bov opens normaly at low boost but in full boost it flutters, not turbo flutter though, it sounds like its blowing off by opening and closing realy fast, I loosend the adjustment screw off and still same thing, everybody says its the screw being too tight. How can it be too tight if it opens at like 5psi? if it opens at 5 shouldn't it open at 17? Youd think if a little air can open it, alot should have no problem. Is it possible that this is how the type rs functions when it gets hit with alot of air? With the screw almost fully tightend my T25 had no problems blowing it off. To describe it better, it pretty much sounds like alot of supras you see on youtube,it sounds cool but I dont want it to be not functioning properly...

well to be honest, im pretty sure what everyone has been telling you is the case, its just too tight. If you are losing the adjustment screw then perhaps you have damage inside the screw or on the plunger.

I did an experiment with my Type-S tightening it down and it sounded just like you said yours does... I thought it was kind of cool and didnt think it was doing anything wrong. But I dont believe it was recirculating the air properly because it was opening and closing oddly. What ended up happening is it caused one of my silicone couplers to come off my intercooler piping and had a massive leak (and these are strong, 4 ply silicone couplers).

I would just adjust it as far out as possible or take off the head and look for any other signs that might be preventing the plunger from opening fully. Youre problem isnt the plunger opening, i.e. under 5psi it works fine, its that its not opening enough for the additional high boost at 15+ psi.
