Spyder New ECMLink v3, needing help setting up tune

My 97 GST Sypder has been sitting for a year now so I thought I would buy ecmlink v3 lite to finally see what is going on under the hood. Yet now with it installed and wires switched and everything its not ideling correctly and runs even worse than before. I finally got the laptop to hook up to the car and did an 2k rpm scan, not sure if that helps anything, couldnt be more confused.

My set up:
MHI Evo 3 16g
Punishment racing fmic
Stock injectors
Stock fuel pump
12 pounds of boost
Vacuum and boost leak test done.

Just wondering what the standard set up would be with my components. Sorry to be such a noob about this, trying to figure out tuning by yourself isnt easy off the bat.
 
Add the log so we can see it then go from there, did you log the values you need to log? once you done that you will get a more detailed answer
 
I somehow deleted my log. Ill go back out and do one now, is there anything I should bring up specificly? A specific setting or anything? Sorry just want to be sure I come back with the right log or anything. Then once I get the log do I screenshot it and post it or is there another way?

Just save the log file and then import it, we will all be able to view it through link

After going outside I realize itll have to be tomorrow, sorry my battery is junk and dies after only two starts then I have to recharge it. Pretty sad for a year old optima.

Ok I have a new log saved to my desktop but I do not know how to get it to show up on here. Sorry really new to this.


The log I just listed was me sitting in the yard with the car. It will not run long enough to let me drive it. I tried to keep it around 2600 rpm for a bit to see what I can get a read on. I would run it at idle but it dies immediately.

edit your post, click the "advanced" button.

That will take you to edit screen showing your post.
Click the paper clip icon, a new window will pop open.
Click browse and select the file you want to upload.
Click Upload, then scroll to the bottom and click "close this window"
Then submit your post, and the file will show up.

Yep it worked, no problem.

As for the log, can you upload the .elg file.
Link usually puts it in C:\Users\<username>\ecmlink\datalogs\

edit: I have the log downloaded and it opens correctly, I haven't fiddled with ECMlink yet so I wont be of much help.

Yeah I went through most of it and it was all spanish to me for the most part. Im better at learning from someone showing me something than reading it all. At this point im about to put the car up for parts, I have owned the car for 5 years and I've only put 200 miles on it, hell the car only has 49k original miles and im the third owner, but its never ran right. I just wanted to for once drive the car normally, cant even do that.

Another update, tried to move the car forward and it died immediately each time I tried to move it, so it doesn't even have enough power to move and inch. Or else I would do a log from driving.

Atleast get a walbro 255 fuel pump for extra fuel with that evo3 16g and now you have link you can get some bigger injectors. You wont get very far on stock setup with that turbo. You can lean it out a little bit but you might wanna have that fuel saftey when upping the boost or tuning. Pm my1gdsm for great remote tune for a good price. Feel free look into speed denisty they have adapter for 2g that fits on top the manifold and can get rid of the stock maf. Good luck dont blow her up. Also I just read your profile no wideband?!!??! dont even change anything if everything is stock no changes really needed to really do anything. Get a Innovate lc-1 wideband for $160 on ebay or anywhere before you get into deep. If you need help ask what all everything you need or anything before you start doing to much. Your on the right path just stay on that right path where here to help.!!

His tune is set for 850cc injectors, hence why I asked for a list of mods.

OK your DA tables look stock. Just adjust globals to what the previous post said and you''ll be running perfect. Just like stock ecu. You wont notice one bit of difference.
After awhile you get your idle dialed and and start to do some mafcomps then you can get into timing and maxoct DA and squeeze some free hp from it. You basically have the best first mod yoou could possibly get. Everyone should do this and learn it.

Also great catch on the injectors not being correct, whats odd is on my Macbook it says its stock but on the Sony it says its a set of 850s. Not sure but I may need to reset the drivers on the Mac.

That looks much happier, have you taken it for a spin yet?
I noticed your throttle position is slightly off, the second guide shows how to adjust that, you don't need the car running for that adjustment. The log just needs to see from 0% to 100% throttle swing to do the adjustment.

Yep log everything you can I log a good bit of stuff like my idle control stepper motor to dial it in and get my base idle set screw dialed in along with my throttle position sensor. Ecm link also has a setting so you can run just a wide band simulated to run closed and open loop and no stock 02's like me. I'm not sure if that's on full and light and make sure you dial the injectors in as stock that will be a huge help. Make sure the base fuel pressure and timing is set and go through the settings there's configuration and direct. Direct you have to have your car off on the key in the on position to save or program stuff.
 
I am planning on taking it out finally on Sunday if its not raining (also the joys of working a 12 hour a day job). I will be sure to log some drive time and a few pulls to see how it is now. Last time it sat it was hesitating terribly on the stock ecu and could not hold boost, and yes I have done many blt's and even a smoke test haha. I will be back to post more info, thank you all again for your help thus far.
 
I don't know if your coolant temp sensor is right but it said 245 that's way over CEL is at 214 I think link has it set at but if that is right I wouldn't even start that car fix your TPS volts 0.63 to 5.00v is what you wanna see you can also go on youtube and watch Jafromobile he has good idel set up and more good luck with her !!!
