So, I was granted the opportunity to purchase a nice DSM. Prior, it was quite a built car I assume. Anyway, I tore into the motor to fix the issue with it because it was locked up. Within I found Forged Manley Rods, Pistons and a steel Manley crankshaft with everything engraved with the builders name, date and the specs.
The engine is a 6 bolt swap with some other goodies. Basically I am going to try and build this car into a Semi street/ Drag car.
I'm looking into the PT6262 turbo and am wondering a few things like the size injectors I need and how to run Dual Walbro 255s. The guy who built the car said that when he had it it made 667AWHP on 30 some psi. I'd like to return this car to it's former glory. Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Get a dual pump assembly. They are around.

What injectors does it currently have?
Ide look for 1200cc to 1300cc injectors.

And if it doesnt have methanol yet, get a good kit!
 
I use have pte 62/62 with walbro 255 inline and intake with 1650cc injectors aem fuel rail and stock lines on e85. Only made like 540whp at 32psi due to being out of fuel and was fwd 5 speed. Good setup looks like you got, I would fully do your fuel system if your going plan making that high of horsepower. Not sure he made that high horsepower number but that also is pushing the h beam and manley pistons unless there hd or I beam rods. Just my opinion I don't wanna see you blow it up. How much hp do you wanna make?

Your posting has nothing useful for the op and his questioning about his setup. the information I provided the op is good helpful information on his setup as I accompanied in the setup and well being of that car that I posted about.:ohdamn:
 
Agian I say please use pm's for personal conversation, as I last stated the info I provide and help here on this forums is to better help people with there cars. As I have experience with setup simular to his as I see in your profile you haven't gone past a 16g I don't understand why your here flaming and personal attacking me. Please keep the posting for helping info regarding help on his setup. Any more info please send them in pms. Sorry Kentucky Killer for drama.
 
Honestly 667 seems insane, a lot of money would be required for that. Right now they put the stock injectors and fuel rail back on the car. I really am mostly aiming for an 11-12 second 1/4mile. Also looking for a full gasket rebuild kit. I can't find one because everywhere I look seems to be for the 7 bolt. Thanks guys.
 
Alot of different things mostly the timing belt side of things. Water pump size, water pump gasket, timing belt cover all kind of miscellaneous stuff. Also throttle boddy and intake manifold gaskets are different. Valve cover gaskets are the same.
 
Alright, thanks. Also is there a specific aftermarket head gasket I should be looking into for this type of power?
 
If you're only looking for 11s or 12s why such a large turbo? 12s can be had on a 14b... For someone without much experience Id suggest maybe a 16g or 20g, single 255, 1000s and ECMlink and whichever other bolt ons you'd want (cams, fmic etc.. ) When you start to understand things and get a feeling with tuning and such, then upgrade.. Squeeze the most out of something small and do it efficiently so you have the knowledge to do so with a bigger set up and bigger horsepower!

Before reading this I was looking into a smaller setup due to my price. I've worked on my friend's DSM a few times and love my SRT-4 but to be honest the DSM scene is an insanely different world. I think that the above quote is my best option. I do want to build the car to its former glory but why not make this a slow/soothing learning process of which I can enjoy upgrading the car and experiencing it's different levels of performance. Plus, this is gonna' save the bank LOL.
 
Crash is right. If your used to the quick spooling srt4 you're in for a rude awakening LOL. If you go anything larger than say an s16g its gonna take longer to get to full boost, but will generate huge numbers. Just make sure you have the supporting mods or youll end up being sorry.
 
My DD is a Caliber SRT-4, not very much room for aftermarket with them. It really breaks my heart but I am looking to trade it in on a Cummins and building this GSX. My wife drives a 4G Eclipse GS-SE and we've always wanted a 2G. We've done a few things to her 4G but she's just as excited as I am for the GSX. :D
