new to dsms

hey everyone new to dsms. picking up a 1991 galant vr4 here pretty soon and it is going to be my daily driver, has a hahns 20g turbo on it and 750cc injectors currently not tuned but the owner runs low boost so nothing stresses. just wondering how good these cars are as far as reliability? what should i expect in the future? car is very clean and looking forward to getting it thanks for reading

If it's been kept up on maintenence and not beaten to bad there pretty reliable. How much are you going to be driving and how far?

about 40-50 miles a day and i travel from phx to las vegas so that would be about 500 miles in a weekend but thats not every weekend

Is it the one on craigslist? Ps and a/c deleted one... I would like to see it when you pick it up. Galants are pretty good as long as you keep up on the maintenence. I would get it tuned as soon as possible if it isn't. Try and get that put into the deal, there is a great guy that can tune here in phoenix. Does it have dsmlink?

Wish icould fin myself a vr4. Aslong as mainteance has been kept up to date then you should be golden. Check it over real good.

yea its the blue one on craigslist. he has a maft on it right now but i plan to get dsm link. i already talked to the guy and we drove it around a little bit and it drives great doesnt miss or anything he just did the timing belt and tensioner on it and has done all the maint on it i think . and how much does this guy usually charge for a tune?

any one else have any input?

Not sure if he tunes cars with maft, but it has an eprom ecu and I know another guy that burns custom chips for dsms and he charges like 50 bucks. His name is donnie, the one that tunes link is phuong. Phuong charges about 250 or so. Honestly donnie's chip could help you out a lot. Check out galantvr4.org as well. Some great info there.
