He guys I did a recent clutch install on my 1G 1992 tsi awd. Its been about two months and I followed the break in aka baby the clutch till 800 miles. Now in was driving yesterday and also was good, but once you got back in my already on car, if pushed down the clutch pedal and put it in first, and the car moved, but the revs just went high and I Swanton really moving. I did not resurface the flywheel when it put it in, can this be it? And also the pin that holds the throwout bearing inside the bellhousing was kinda loose when it changed it. Any and all coments are welcome. I live in chicago and will begin teardown Tomorow morning. Thanks guys

I'm having the same problem. After all I conclude I think it might be because we didn't resurface flywheel. It's bad because it can lead to a glazed clutch which will cause slipping.
The throwout bearing clip is some what loose, that's okay as long as you don't have like major major move ment. Check google for how the clip should be install incase you are second guessing yourself.

I put it in right, because it has two holes for the clip to go in. I will resurface mine this week and update. Keep the updates coming ### guys

well Sam, i dont want to take it out, resurface it, then put it back on to see thats not it right? any other things it could be? I kinda wanna get an idea of what it could be and work from there...the tear down begins tomoro

I do have a longer slave cylinder rod, and its adjusted well. I did the clutch like 2 months ago already and had not 1 problem with it, and even broke it in for 800 miles!!! thats hard man LOL. keep ideas coming, Ill repost tomorow with as much as I can :)

Ok thanks to all who posted with ideas, but it turns out my clicking axle that I've had for about 2 months finally caved in on me in the wheel hub assembly. Thanks again to all. I will update as RESOLVED now. DSM 4 LIFE!!!!
