Just dynoed the car Saturday night. Here's the chart:

http://members.cox.net/brooksautomotive/harold 601whp.jpg

That was 32psi, 12:1 a/f, never knocked. Car has a LOT left in it. I think it woulda done ~630/570 if we kept tuning it. One pull spiked to 34psi, let off at 6200, made 603/570tq. Timing was really conservative, that's why it falls off on the top. With the tall tires though, that power band is going to be perfect as-is. We had to stop makin pulls because the control arm bushing was EFF'd and was gettin a bit dangerous. Hopin for low 10s and to break 140mph (shifting at 7400).

A few specs: big motor, big turbo, big everything
Nicer specs: Stock ignition, stock fuel lines/filter

Awesome numbers.

Where do you usually run? MIR or Capitol? Either way I can't wait to see it move down the track this season.

Usually run at Capitol for test and tunes and MIR for the import events. I'm gonna run it for the first time up at Etown on the 24th for the East Coast DSM Shootout. It should be....interesting. :D

That is pretty impressive. Did you have to gap the plugs down, and how much if so? Did you see any hint of misfire?

One badass setup :thumb:

It's not stroked. It's a true 2.4L motor. I ran it last year a few times and it's got a few hundred street miles. I don't plan on it hitting the street that much this year, gonna put some Hoosier DOTs on it. Thanks! :D

Stock plug gaps and there are no signs of misfire. I'm pretty damned impressed with the stock ignition. I was getting ready to order some stuff for the ignition before the dyno because we didn't think it was gonna hold up. When I upgrade the turbo, I may have to address it as well as the fuel system. Who knows :D

That turbo you have is VERY nice. I would like to have that for my next turbo. What size turbine housing are you using?

What type of dyno were you on? I am ASSuming a 2wd dynojet.

Damn man awesome numbers. That chart makes me want to go out and do some more tuning on my car. I love the 64 power band. Having 500hp from 5-8k is a helluva ride.

good point. Its always nice to have a little cushion, especially on a setup like his.

Poor tranny. :(

Nice numbers. Glad to see someone with some real power. :thumb:

The mod list you linked to shows the C2DI and custom coil setup on there? 32 PSI is pretty good, I started seeing misfire at the stock plug gap around 25-26PSI, at a much richer AF ratio. Were you running a lot of timing?

Brad

Great numbers man. I'm also curious to see what kind of timing you are running. Also, what type of race gas were you using? Have any EMS logs that you'd like to share:D ?

Different dynos/different WBs may show some differences. The cars that are tuned here run well at a decent amount leaner than 12:1. The car has room to go for the track, trust me. ;)
