Ok, so i'm out in the garage cleaning up an HX35 that i'm rebuildiung for a customer and hear a car running in the driveway. I open the garage door thinking a customer was here but no, what do i see.. a black and white crown victoria with lights on top. My heart dropped thinking "i haven't done nothing wrong, and i haven't missed court on my traffic ticket, what the hell is this?"

Well cop gets out and informs me that te neighbors have called in about my car sitting on jackstands with the trans and suspension out for the last week and a half or so.. In the city limits it's an ordinance that you can't have a non running vehicle (or running and non registered/plated) vehicle in public view, even in your own driveway! SO now i've got 72 hours to get the car rmoved or start getting a daily fine of roughly 50 bucks a day!!!!!!!! HOw the hell will i EVER get it fixed paying that?

The cop was really cool, said they'd called into the station many times but being that the cops knew me from my old ford bronco that use to get called in all the time for being parked out in the street too long and not moving thy had tried ignoring becayse the person who called they consider a neusancse.. but, nighbors have done their hom work too, seems if they call the mayors line then the cops have no choice but to respond because if they don't the mayor feels that it reflects on his power to control the city the right way or some sh1t!!!!!!

This is infuriating, I've been trying my ass off to get a rans, get parts, sort through trannies to get parts i can't buy becayuse i'm broke and waiting on my disability battle to come through and this is the shit i have to deal with

ALl i need are some freaking bearings and seals, along with some shims and roll pins and i can put the trans in (well need that CD housing too but i could put a welded one in for now if i hadn't already pressed the bearings off my clusters and ruined some of them (didn't wanna put it back with old bearings anyway) Bu fu(k.. if i can't orde parts TODAY and pay fopr piority mail then i don't know what i'm gonna do, There's no room in the garage even if i could put a wheel and stuiff back on the front to roll it in, so 72 hours comes if i'm not out there working on it (to hoopefully buy another day at that point) then i guess iu'm looking at 59 freaking dollars a DAY until it gets fixed..

I've got my part list, have sent it to TMZ but sinc calling earlier i can't get back hahold of him,, next closest is Jacks and thye aren't ewen open on mondays, at this point i guess i'm gonna start calling bearing shops and see if i can fid trhe universal matches for the trans (luckily i found them and saved them in a word document when learnign about building the trans) and i also have seal numbers to HOPEFULLY let me get all the seals i need in the trans to not have to poull i again after putting it in... sometimes i just fu9king hate people, my life and the luck that i have in it and trying to deal with buying anything where i can't jkust walk in buy it and get it, hell even mitsu dealer is 7-10 days on the partsi need this blows!!!!!!!!!!!

ANyone wanna buy a mitsubishi.. I"ll take a nissan frontier on trade also!!!!

Lol i was just gonna txt him to do that . I could have brought my car over and turned the antilag down to like -20 and just let the smoke and noise roll . I ####ing hate asshole neighbors, time to egg peoples houses... Then call the city on them HAHA. Those dicks...

OH believe me, and knowing what neighbor, he's got his coming, and he better not even think about trying to do anything because if he aproaches me i'll take the assualt charge to knock him on his fu9king ass, i maybe disabled but i got a temper that coupled with adrenaline make me a tazmanian ball of rage when provoked and it takes a lot to get me there but after years of this guys crap (when i lived here before between houses and now that i'm living here because of he injuries and surgeries i'm going through) I know one thing if i'd lived here the entire time i've lived in omaha this guy would be dead if he was lucky, and wearing scars to remind him to mind his own business at best. But i try and be cool, i'm always nice to him and he continues on like we dont' know it's him and like no ones gonna do anything, well i got news for him, i'll go to jail and get on probation, I don't do drugs or anything so i'll take piss tests, or hell evn do a week or two in county, but i will not tolorate ONE MORE of his little "run and go tell" calls tothge police PERIOD!!!!!! I'm so fuious right now i can't even calmmyself eough to start looking for parts else where i just hope to hell Tim Z calls me back so i can pay him and get the parts coming, because i'll lose my mind tracking them down and don't wanna have to put a trans in with bad bearings that i've already pressed off the shafts and with seals that have been removed once

exactly, and i have a few, and i KNOW who this was, he lives next door on the side with my driveway/car next to him.. he comes off all nice and tries to talk to you for hours about shi1 that makes no sense and then calls on EVERYONE on the block for everything from dead trees to not getting your empty trash cans off the curb by the 9pm deadline from when they are emptied (another new law here just this year)

I watch out for all my neighbors becayse this is my block, and i don't tolorate no BS, but i don't biutch about simple things either, I help them with car work, loan tools and everything else, but all of us have to deal with this POS next door to me..made the people across the street have their tree removed fromthe front yard becayse it was almost dead, costthem a good penny to do and i know they are struggling cause the wife can't or don't work and the husband lost his good paying job a few years back and is struggling not to lose their house@!

DOn worry revenge is sweet, and i don't wanna annoyt the other neighbors so i've got a few tricks.. write on the lawn with bleach, and the grass die in the shape of your words for a good amount of time, that is one... another is to write on th driveway with no touch tire shine and the words only aprear when it rains

as for fixing the car

I really wanna order my parts through Tim/TMZ as he's helped me aton, but i've been trying to contact him toplace this order for a couple days yesterday and today, and aside from saying he'd call me back this morning i can't reach him to save me at this point, so if i can't find the bearings and seals local (not to mentin needing a center diff) it looks like i'll be leaving for colorado about 3AM tonight to get to jacks and but it all and drive another 8-9 hours home.. that's gonna eat some damn gas

mapquested it and it's 8 hours 33 minutes to jacks from my house, god that's gonna be 17 hours of straight driving and sitting in a car that long is painfull!!!!!!!

just realized i can't because i have a doctors appointment i cant miss tomorrow at 4:30...god i hate life sometimes, i'm just gonna shut up, eat a ton of xanax and take some lunesta while i wait to hopefully hear from Tim (twicks69)

yea, people can be real fu9ks some times,,they aren't retired, maybe mid to late 40's, both work and they have 2 kids that are under 10y/o

But i can say iu know what you mean about getting rid of a car because of them, this house is on the market and of course it didn't look great with an 89 bronco that had rusted panels, fiberglas patches with huge tires that were always half or all the way flat (needed air daily sometimes they didn't get it ) but with them bitching to the cops when i'd leave itin the street so it didn't reflect on the house's apeal and just in general trying to be nice i sold that truck for 350 buckls to a friend becayse he needed something to pick his kids up from school in too (wife is a bi***, said many times "if you want the kids this weekend you have to pick them up from schoolk" all while knowing he didn't have a car

They are just bitchy people..funny thing is they are the 5th set of people to move into their house since my folks have lived in this one and EVERY single family that's been there has had some sort of ghost experience.. Some just seeing a man staring at them and often playing with children, to flat panel TV's being ripped out of the wall in the middle of the night and so on.. I used to question "ghosts" and such, but after my later teens spent in the historic civil war town of fredericksburg, VA. as well as a lot of other things i've witnessed/seen/felt, i'm now a firm believer in the supernatural... And anyone who's ever lived in the house next door does too once they've lived there more than a few months.. so in a way that's his own kharma coming to him constantly even his kids talk about the "older man like grandpa" that plays in the sandbox in their backyard with them. (their children think it's a real guy that comes over to visit them)

No, this isn't my house really, I had to pay so much out of pocket medical to get barely where i am today that after i left my wife and she took 51% of everything i made and with the doctors making me stop working on top odf that i gave up my house a year ago and moved back in with my folks for the first second time since i was 19 (35 now) and last time i was only here to get moved to nebraska and once more when i was waiting for the house i just gave up to be ready for me to move in when i decided to move out of the old house i had in omaha (lots of moves )

Anyway, iv'e had fist fights with neighbors in the past, beatr the shit out a guy that claimed t be a boxer (and i'm nothin special, i just got mad and rage is powerfull) and those were people living across the street from me and all of that started over the parkng space in front of MY house where they wanted to park all the time, ididn't like looking out at their truck so i put my worjk truck there and all hell broke loose there's stuff on my facebook from WAY back all about it from the people that were there whenm the guy came out and said "i'm not trying to be a dick, but i've been parking there for 12 years" and I replied, "well, now i live here, andi'm parking my truck there..if you get home before me you can have that spot, but you don't own the street and you are being a dick" (that's to the letter what was said in the first time we met ) after that he tried everything to get over on me.. once he even called in my cars plates assome one who was casing houses with the lights off so when i backed out of my driveway that night within 30 seconds i was pulled over and within 3 minutes i had 9 cops with guns drawn askingme and my buddy (who was a blackguy) what we were doing, what our business is in this neighborhood..bla bla bla.., I said i own this house, that's my friedn adn we're going to the store for beer! And then i got loud cause i know a few things, and basically told them "bad cops, no donuts, no leave" god there's a thousand more, and i never start trouble but i'l be damned if anyone walks over me or thinks they can tell mewhat to have and when and where, i'll break a foot off in someone's ass these days as i have little patience anymore

This is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of honestly, and I've had the cops called on me for fishing in a boat on Lake Kitchi because some neighboring cabin-folk reported that I was engaging in "terrorist activity."

I feel you man. Back about 5 years ago I wrecked my mustang and had it towed and dropped off in front of my house on the street. It sat there for a few months and I had so many calls to the cops about it. It was a small town and all the cops were really cool. I told them I wrecked it and can't do anything with it. They all loved my car and basically told me they'll never do anything to my because my car was so cool haha. I also had people call the police about weeds and little dead bush things in my front yard at a different house. It was so stupid.

I know how you feel man. I work on my cars at my buddys house because I live in an apartment and have no garage, but he lives in some kind of cluster home street..I'm really not sure what you call it, but they have some rule where you can't work on a car whatsoever in your driveway. We've had the cops called numerous times for doing the smallest things in the driveway. One time I had my hood open and was checking my oil level and the cops showed up 10 mins later saying I can't even have my hood open in the driveway. Ridiculous. Another time my audi I had at the time was leaking oil and I parked it in the street and it leaked a few drops of oil onto the street and the cops showed up at 10 pm and night saying the neighbors called and reported it. I said look officer my cars leaking oil I'm going to fix it in the morning. He said he was going to have my car towed because it was against some environmental law or something that a car can't leak fluids on the ground. WTF People need to just mind their own business.

It really is rediculous, I mean go watch TV or something, is my front yard/driveway really that influential in your life or what?? Did the cops really say some one said you were engaged in terrorist activity on the lake?? Were you sending fish to the middle east to be sold at market and the money used to support alquida or something

IT's funny in one way and that's because when i talk to the neighbor (who we all know is the one who calls everyone in) I tell him things like "some ass eating, c0ck face called the cops on me for the car, can you believe that?" and he stutters and stumbles and you can never understand what he saying at that point it's to the point now he knows to not even acknowledge most of us who live around him because we all hate him.. we have all hoped over the years that the ghost in the house would drive them away too, but he's been here like 5 to 7 years or so, (most don't last more than 2 years there)

Being a free-mason, I do alot of volunteer work with the police both local and state as mainly in the fund raising and working in programs to help prevent children from becoming missing or being exploited, it's really rewarding inside to know you're able to help the parents and educatethe kids to try and keepthem out of what could be the worst thing that ever happened to them.

That being said, when the cops do come, mostare cool either way and tell me they hate these calls and if it weren't for the guy calling the mayors line they wouldn't even show up.. I think what i'm gonna do is dump a TON of gear oil on his driveway and if he asks i'll say something like the car blew as soon as i pulled out and being we're on a hill i just turned in thinking i could get back up to my drive way (or i just won't admit it, even better) The fine for this is rediulous at 47 bucks a day after the warning (not sure how that can even be legal) BUt i've gotparts coming so hopefully when they show back up thuirsday i'l have parts in my hand to show them and hopefully show them i'm gonna have it done ASAP and avoid the fines..thank god timhad everything in stock i needed to get going !!!!!!!!!!!!

as for the car cover thing.. that's a good one, at my old house the guy who was a vietnam vet had a son who he'd given this old lte 60's charger to, well the son died in operation desert storm back in 91 and the old man kept the car in his driveway but unregistered.. WE had a guy there too who was old (about same age asteh vet) and when the charger owner covered the car with a cover and he couldn't see the plates (which the cops loved because they told the old man to cover it that way unlessthey had a reason to be searching his property it wasn't in plain sight andthere for they coudnt initiate a ticket.. well the old guy who called in went up there one night andstarted lifting the tarp up.... OUt comes mr vietnam vet, and bare fisted beat the cop-caller to hell and back. Acouple other neighbors who all hated the cop calling guy lied and vouched that the cop caller swung first even though he didn't (but those of us who all got along watched out for each other) and so not only did the charger stay put, but they charged the guy looking under the tarp with a few charges from tresspassing (it is posted on charger's house too ) all the way to assault he didn't bother ANYONE for at least 2-3 years after that, but eventuyally resumed calling in on people whenever thye didn'tmove a car for 48 hours on the street parking or if they had a project car in the driveway (lots of car nuts here )

In the end, brute force and good neighbors and friends who'll give you a good alibi or back up "who swung first" will over come the geezer who complains nomatter how deep sh1t gets.. trust me, when this house sells and my family moves the guy next door is gonne get left with some really awefull karma dealt by yours truely

Right of parking on the street is just pathetic. Just an example. My father is disabled an 87 years old so my Mother always tries to park as close to the front door as possible for obvious reasons. Well, the neighbor, a middle aged man recently retired, seems to spend his time waiting for them to leave so that he can move his car in the same spot they usually take (not to mention it partially blocks access to my parent's garage). My mother never said anything as she's aware she doesn't have any specific right to that spot, it's just lame that this guy is instead convinced it's his birthright to park there...so many morons out there it's a lost battle every day.

Better yet, sometime when the family leaves for an extended period go over there and put up one of those "I'm a sexual offender and rape babies" signs while they are gone. That way a lot of traffic will see it before they return. They would never recover from that.

Glen. I didn't read all the responses but there's a simple fix dude. Put wheels on it, close the hood, and drop the car until you get everything you need to install the trans. If it looks operational then you'll be fine...

Gofer, the front suspension is puilled and you know about my injuries, for me to put that back on and take it off again to install the trans only so i can put it back on... well, i'd rather pay the 50 bucks a day than deal with that amount of pain for that extra day and a half i'd be in hell for, believe me, so while I regret not at least hanging the wheels bac on it and letting it down off the jack-stands, but hell, i'm a few steps away from being back in the wheel chair i spent so much time in over the last decade, and I avoid every bit of labor i can..not because i don't want to do it, because i love it actually. But, becase the misery i'm put into from a simple valve cover gasket change is enough to make you think about wether you grab the pain meds or the hand-gun from the dresser to deal with the way my body feels after 20 minutes or so max.

Many people who don't know me but hang out with once or even just meet me in person for an hour or so here and there and think there's nothing much wrong, but that's becase i'm medicated and after 11 years i can withstand quite a bit of pain, and hide it well. But, the mental fatigue of dealing with the pain that the narcotics can't hide is enough to keep a person questioning if there's really anything or anyone you have to answer to or deal with in the afterlife (not trying to sound like iwant pitty because i don't, just being honest about the thoughts that go through one's head after spending 11 years in my shoes and going through what i've been through),

i've almost died twice from bleeding out, and have bent limbs in directions they won't show on the "extreme" TV shows and have had steel go in one side of my body and come out the other side and then had to fight for three hours of crawling to get to help.... and to be honest, i can't even watch that type of stuff anymore because my body automatically shoots pain signals to the brain just from seeing some one else get hurt bad.. it's something i wouldn't wish on ANYONE) So my actions, thoughts and decisionsmay not be those of most people, but they reflect the adaptations i've had to make in life to deal with what i've been through.
