:talon:ok the other fourms didn't really help me a lot. I just about got my DSM done and i'm excited. It's got 2 year old gas well it might be varnish now in the tank i think about 3/8 tank. i need a way to get it out effectively and efficiently also.. and also any help on doing fuel filter where is it... pics would be incredible on both..

:talon:So are you suggesting that i have to remove the fuel tank to get the "bad" gas out. and i'm gonna change the filter after i get te old gas out. thanks for all your help you all

If you don't want to drop the tank I think you could remove a fuel line somewhere, run a hose to a container, and jump the fuel pump relay to stay on and just pump the fuel out. I think that would work ok for you. Just don't let the pump run dry for very long and keep the gas away from any sparks.:)

Yea I would either dump the fuel from the fuel line or either remove your fuel pump and pump out of the car this way with one of those hand held pumps. Just a suggestion.

If the car does start(LOL) -then take off the fuel return off the FPR and run that into a container.. the car will die after the tank is empty .(oh,jack up the left side so that all the fuel gets to the pump.

So I need to empty all the old gas from my 2G talon before I fire it up and after trying siphoning it and then realizing that is all but impossible I'm thinking my only option left is to jump the fuel pump relay to empty it.... My only problem is I don't know how to do that or where the relay is located. If anyone can help me out or has another suggestion then i'm all ears, I'd prefer to not pull the fuel pump out to siphon the gas if i can help it.

Ok so i found the pump relay I think (passenger side behind the panel) and there's two relays in there. I believe its the left one because I think i read that somewhere while trying to research this but I don't know how to jump it. There is 4 prongs, 2 called coil, one called COM, and one called ON. Can anyone help me out with this and if possible explain what is going on? I'm electrically challenged.

Ok so i figured it out for anyone who might want to know, I took the relay that is uppermost when bolted behind the paneling and then made a wire that ran from the COM to the ON female disconnects and turned the key to on and low and behold fuel pumped to my awaiting gas can :)
