need some turbo advice

I just blew the compressor seal in my 14b and i am now forced to buy a new turbo, after reading the endless # of threads on the subject, i have a good idea what i need but i am now asking for your sugjestions. I would like to build about 350 whp so ~400 crank hp. i do not want to be maxing out the turbo, and i am not too worried about spool time as i will be road racing the car most of the time but the turbo should make full boost @ 3500rpm and from what i have read i am looking to need about 22psi. I will be buying all the suporting mods (3" exh, 660 inj, 255 fuel pump, safc II, GM MAF & MAFT, ect) also but i still will need to smog the car so i would like to stay away from cams (unless people have not had trouble smoging w/ them) or they make getting to 350 whp that much eazier. I have been building motors for a long time but am new to DSMs so any input is greatly appreciated. much thanks

if you want that kind of power but you don't want to be near the turbo's threashold then i would look into getting a 50 trim or something near that size it woudl do the trick but it could still put out more power if you wanted it to later on

50 trim sounds good..

a 20g would give you the amount of power you want but you won't have a lot to play with if you want to go faster later on, so i would just go with the 50 trim, but like you said, be sure to get all supporting mods FIRST.

BR20G (buschur racing). Very fast spooling 20G. A friend of mine has one. Damn that car pulls fast!!
