The crank journals all spec out. I happened to notice this small area on the radius that appears like small divers? What could have caused this and is this damage? And if so is this crank junk

It's hard to tell from a picture. If it's just a tiny low spot, all it will do is hold oil. You want to ensure it's just a low spot, though. If any of the edges are sharp, or protrude above the journal surface, it needs to be polished as to not damage the bearing.

If it looks like it was hit by something, I'd give it a good look before running it.

Also, as @donniekak mentioned in your other thread, you should have this checked for overall run out. Cranks can warp if left on their sides for too long. You install a warped crank and your main bearings will last 5 minutes before that cranks eats them.

Anyone else notice all the pitting to the left of the hole just out of main view. If ran I would have it checked like said above. And also knock down that sharp edge alittle.
Ok guys this isn't my new crank.... thank god id be pissed. What you are seeing is a bunch of small pits a few inches long. Nothing sharp. Like a bunch of small indents but smooth?

I have no idea, the journal looks fine and specs out?if it spun how would the radius have been damaged anyway and not the journal
