interesting hybird idea.. needing some opinions

i recently bought my first DSM in late march, and me and a few fellow DSM's put it all back together and got it running. i am more than impressed with the car, and i've been doing research about the 4g63 and the hybrids that are running around.. but here's what i've been thinking about constructing:

4g61 crank in a 4g64 block with the 1g 4g63 head.. any thoughts to the outcome with this combo? i've done a search but came back without any definite answers. help help/opinions/comments would be more than appreciated. thanks!

It's been done before. You'll end up with a 2.4 motor that's been destroked to 2.1 litres. You'll need custom rods to compensate for the shorter stroke of the 1.8 crank, or else you'll have the world's worst compression ratio. It'd probably be no different than doing a 2.4 buildup except for the crank and rods.

You only have a 2.1 if you use the '63 crank in the '64 block with a 88mm bore. If you use the 1.8 crank you will still have a 1.8. I would prefer the 2.1L since you can only rev the stock valve train so high, and even then I would want some sold lifters to go with my destroked motor.
