I just got done building my 4g63. All new stuff including overbored cylinders and stuff like that. I get the timing set and start it up. I do the process for setting ignition timing to +5. I have the cam angle sensor all the way to the right ( looking at the motor from the drivers side) and look at the mark on the crank. It is an inch away from btdc and nowhere near the marks. When I adjust the cam angle sensor it just goes farther away from the marks. Could it be possible that timing is off by one tooth? I tried to 180 out the cam angle sensor with no luck. It still is way off. There's another problem as well. when the car gets warmed up and I press the clutch down to the floor the car tries to die. If I keep up the rpms at 1000 it's okay but anywhere else it dies. At first I thought It to be the clutch kit (SBR 3500 HD) but there's no binding. Then I find out that the fork's not engaging the pressure plate. After switching forks and putting 2 washers behind the ball I could get it into gear but it still tries to stall and I have to pump the clutch 7 times and the push it to the floor and the back off bout a 1/4 to get into gear. Any suggestions? I need some help please.
