need info for the beat up nt to turbo conversion.

Ran into a few things i couldnt find. Found out that there is suppose to be a spot for my knock sensor to go into on the tranny side under the can angle sensor. Well looked and couldnt find a pluged hole. Also i know there were vac diagrams somewere for fpr and bov and waste etc etc. Could somebody help me out with links to go to for these things and more info about my knock sensor position. Last but not least. Purge canister. My sound stupid but what is the function of it. And how do i intal 1? Thanks to everybody that can help.
 
I dont know anything about n/t. That said i will say on the turbo 4g63 the knock sensor is under the intake manifold. I would assume to install it you have to remove the plug and then just replace with sensor. As far as making it work with a n/t harness i have no idea.
 
Well i do have a complete work list from vfaq.com but it doesnt say postion of it. And i have noticed that the is a plug under my intake manifold closser to the trans side. It does say how to wire it into the ecu.

Although it's covered briefly in the thread above, here's a different look at where your knock sensor could go. Note that it is not a through hole, so it won't have "a plug". The "plugged" hole is to check if your rear balance shaft is in phase or not and it must be plugged or you'll be dealing with an oil leak: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/417604-new-short-block-arrived-but-its-na-pics.html#post152765228

The purge canister, known around these parts as the "charcoal canister", I'm sure you know is part of the evaporative emission control system. As a whole, the system prevents fuel vapors inside the gas tank from escaping to the atmosphere. The canister's function is to store those vapors temporarily which, under low and medium loads, are drawn into the throttle body. At high loads, the vapors are drawn into the air intake hose.

I had t3/t4 420a there fun but real exspensive, especially due to the motor that was a weak point for me becuase it will not last stock with a turbo. Sure you can run one, but don't exspect motor to be your friend like 4g63T motor. So from my personal exsperience with it is a built motor will come into play before even any turbo i recommend, the group of people i was with that had 420a our stock motors would just not last w/ a turbo. Why I say that is the 4g63 motor N/A is just not built for a turbo from issues I have seen with people trying to boost em the internals didnt last. Just my 2 cents.
 
My motor has been completely redone from step 1. Bored 50 over not sure if the cams are stock na size but i would amagine they are. I buaght a remain thru auto and my engine now has right around 20 k and the turbo conversion im puting in is a t3 t4. May be alittle big but hey... If so ive got a really good 3 yr unlimited mile warranty that will come into play.
