- do i need to upgrade injectors and fuel rails?

i am not lookn to impress nyone or race or make a track car, i just like the feel of a turbo spooling up being pressed agianst the seat and passing people...if i am leavin nything out ### tell me, and dont hate on the ebay 16g they aint that bad, i also just wanago fast have that nice turbo spool noise, a deep exhaust sounds not ricey like a fart can and i want that amazing BOV release thank you

bro i would probably go with exhuast system. you should be able to order turbo back exhuast kits. im new to dsm and were to find products yet so but i would probably go exhaust headers , then intercooler kit, after that just let it flow. what ever sounds good to you. the fuel pump is a good upgrade but needed when boost levels and injector sizes increase. but very good to have.

Get rid of the hks valve springs, evo headers (your ebay package includes an exhaust manifold already, the apexi n1 downpipe will allow you to use stock o2 housing but you should at least port your stock o2 housing so it can flow more. You need to upgrade your injectors to 550cc or higher. No, you don't need to upgrade your fuel rail. You'll need a system to tune/log your car such as dsmlink. There are other cheaper methods for tuning so search the forums. Do a lot more reading before you start modding or buying stuff. Remember that going cheap may work sometimes but how reliable it is and how long it will last will be another thing. If you plan on keeping the Eclipse for a long time I would suggest saving up and just research for a while first. Have you performed the proper maintenance for the car? Our cars are at least 10 years old now. Go to the Tech section and read the Upgrade Paths and VFAQ. Welcome to DSMtuners!

You're going to want to install supporting mods for your 16g first. This means a fuel pump, larger injectors, and a way to control them. If you're not looking for crazy power I'd consider a SAFC and definitely get a logger. As stated above: drop the valve springs, you don't need a fuel rail and be sure you're up to par with your maintenance.

The only thing you might be leaving out is proper grammar!

BEFORE YOU REPLY
#6 USE PROPER SPELLING, GRAMMAR, AND PUNCTUATION IF POSTING IN OUR TECH FORUMS. INTERNET EXPLORER USERS SHOULD DOWLOAD IESPELL blah blah blah!

Your good to go! Good luck and enjoy the mods!

thank you guys sorry about spelling i always suck at it, i will post more when i have done the upgrades

If i were you i would stick with the stock turbo for now, get use to the car then make an educated decision.

-List of upgrades i would purchase-
Boost Gauge
Manual or electronic boost controller
Exhaust 3" all the way back (Ebay or have an exhaust shop weld one up for you)
Front mount intercooler - Nothing crazy (Ebay is your friend $250 +or-)
Lowering springs
Evo Injectors - Ebay
Evo Fuel pump - Ebay
Apexi Afc
Bov-HKs or Evo

After you have a feel for the car you can go to the next step. Big turbo, Big Injectors, Big numbers

Sounds like you want a car that idles bad & eventually blows up WTF

Could of got a real 16g turbo here for around $300.

Change your NGK to STOCK plugs. The NGK BPR6ES is what they are.

Also, here are some changes "I" would make to your mod list since your on a budget:

- 1g bov
- NGK spark plug wires
- Walbro 190 lph (If you havent bought the 255 already)
- OEM Mitsubishi fuel filter
- AEM fuel pressure regulator (you do not need an afpr IF you are getting the 190)
- manual boost controller (You need to install an aftermarket boost gauge FIRST)
- ported stock 2g o2 housing
- ebay exhaust system (they can be found for around $150)
- evo manifold OR 2g stock ported manifold
- Evo Injectors $150
- SAFC to control injectors

Just some things you should look into if your broke like me. We all have DSM's and we do the worth ourselves. I recently did a 14b turbo swap with a handful of tools.

How about you please use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc. when posting?

+1

If your old enough to own a DSM, your old enough to speak/type English.

But venting a bov will make that "sexy whoosh" sound your looking for. BUT It will idle and may even stall out. Not a good idea. A few bov's "slightly vent", holding boost is the ONLY thing that matters.

Plus, who is going to hear your bov over your turbo/exhaust/external wastegate??? Exactly.

As far as the car eventually blowing up... a few people have put those eBay turbos to the test. There's plenty of threads for eBay turbos, so I wont go into great detail. BUT like every batch of condoms, there's bound to be a bad one.

Plus, who is going to hear your bov over your turbo/exhaust/external wastegate??? Exactly.

Since the BOV vents between gears and during shifts you will hear it over the WG since that dumps when in boost and that is also when the turbo is making most of its noise. The exhaust is in the rear. I am not trying to be a dick, but I hear my crushed 1g dodge-modded BOV every time it blows off.

To the OP, you don't have to vent to atmosphere to hear your bov. Mine is recirculated and I hear it just fine. My air filter is in the bumper where the stock SMIC goes, so it echoes off the pavement and its actually quite loud.

+1 on rEclipserGST's entire mod list. The exh mani, inj, mbc, afpr, safc, exhaust, O2 housing & fuel pump can probably all be found in the classifieds here for a great price.

ok thank you guys all u have been very helpful, i didnt say nythign about recurulating becuase i planed on using the stock return hose, is that not possible?

thank you guys for being understanding i really want to learn for the future, so which gauges should i get im thinking
-boost
-fuel/air
-fuel pressure
