Need help quick i want to finish my Rebuild.

Brought my stuff to a machine shop. Its the 1g rods and 2g pistons he says there is a certain way the rods have to be facing. I know there is an arrow on the pistons but i dont see anything on the rods. Is this guy right and if so can you teall me wich way they go. Thanks

On the rods there should be a little dent on one side top or bottom
