so i installed an MBC. first i connected it as it was saying in the manual pic #2. Turned it to the minimum and i ran like 16-18 psi. Then i connected it the way my friend told (has a dsm for as long as i do) pic #1. Same thing the boost wouldn't go down. well 16 psi my stock fuel sys handled well and the stock ported 14b was OK. then i took off the intake manifold and a throttle body cleaned them. Blocked the EGR valve. changed all the vac lines to the new ones. and now with both MBC setups the boost wouldn't go lower then 25psi sometimes it goes to 21 also i get a fuel cut (thats understandable). I have no boost leaks, wastegate arm moves.
So my question is
whats wrong with the boost
which MBC setup is better.

thanks :talon:

Run the #2 setup. It gives a more pure signal for witch the MBC to use, as well as quicker response and less clutter, and a cleaner look.

Heres how mine is hooked up.

Try taking the MBC out of the loop, running a hose from the turbo outlet nipple to the wastegate nipple, and see where the boost goes. If the boost doesn't go too high, the MBC is the culprit. If you still have 21-25 psi, wire the wastegate open for a pull and check boost level. If its not much boost at all with the wastegate wired open, the wastegate arm might not be moving enough.

If this is a ball and spring type MBC, you could take it apart and make sure the spring and ball are not binding on anything.

thanks for the replies. I found the problem!
My intake pipe is too wide so it was bending the wastegate hose blocked. i pulled it up to free the hose and everything is fine now.

I had that happen to me on my old 1g, that was the first time I hit Fuel Cut :thumb:
