NEED HELP ASAP! about to order oil feed line

I have a HE341 holset turbo that is only oil feed

i'm looking up grade the feed lines, Now i'm about to order from extremepsi. Now should i feed from the head or the oil filter housing. if the housing do I need any restrictions?

do i need the holset (12mmx1.50) or the (1/4" NPT)

Do you have balance shaft belts? More then likely I would feed from the oil filter housing. Do you know what your oil pressure normally is? Rule of thumb has been no balance shafts run a restrictor.

No i don't know my normal oil pressure.. yes i have balance shafts..

I would recommend running it from the Oil Filter Housing without a restrictor you should be fine, from the head you wouldn't get enough oil flow to the turbo.

do i need 12mmx1.50 or 2/4" NPT

I know on my HE351VE I needed the 12mmx1.50, I think the two turbos are pretty close though. Since i have no first hand experience with your turbo I couldn't really comment.

Okay so I have some other questions regarding my HE341 holset build


i've got the turbo, Ordered oil lines, a tublar manifold with adaptor.

I plan on knocking the rear studs out so i can bolt up.How do i go about doing this?

Also whats the best way to make my down pipe. I have the stock deisel one that is about 5-7" long with 90 degree bend.. it's a v-band turbo. I'd like to bolt onto my current exhaust with the 2 bolt flange.

Whats the best Idea on this? I've tryed looking up information with the HE341 holset for dsm but theres next to nothing.

I have the same 90 on my turbo, I was just gonig to put a Vband on my DP and call it a day. You could also take it to a shop and see if they can make you a custom o2 housing for you. AS far as the studs go best bet would probably be to get a stud remover and see if you can just wrench em out if not cut them out and try to take a drill to them.
