Need exhaust help

Ok, i have done a search on exhaust in a few different sections, but have yet to find any help. I am looking for a turbo-back exhaust that will:

be 2.5", not 3"; allow me to easily put the cat back on for my e-checks every other year, give me a nice, deep sound (not fartcan style), and finally retain as much of the stock look as possible.

I want to get the most out of the exhaust performance wise, that is my first concern.
So, should I go with a test pipe, or do a high-flow cat? Also, should i buy an entire system, or piece together my own? Also, what about porting the o2 housings, etc. I dont know anything about that stuff. What should I have done besides downpipe > testpipe/highflow cat > cat-back?

i would goto a shop and get a 2.5 system made. If you get a test pipe you wont pass emissions. Since that is in place of the CAT. A high flow cat would be a better bet if you have emissions testing every year. If you are looking into a system, i think the HKS hi power exhaust is a 2.5" setup, but i dont think that they sell downpipes so you might need to find a downpipe from another company.

i had my exhaust pieced together its definitely the cheaper route and i have no complaints. i got a high flow cat for $75, and a used comptech muffler with 2.5"tip for $50. sounds very throaty, not the typical import sound. $50 to weld it up at my local exh. shop
