k here is the setup first,
1998 dodge avenger awd conversion with 2g wiring, and trans/rear end
not my avatar pic.. this one: www.redefinedrides.com/kyles.html
fresh rebuilt 2.0 1g with stock big rods and .020 mitsu pistons. stock 2g head with cometic hp head gasket and arp head studs. also 1g CAS wired for timing adjustment.
16g turbo with injen intake, and dnp header, apexi down pipe (catless) and 3" cat back
greddy egt in #1 runner, FJO wideband, SAFC 1, apexi TT, FIC 650cc injectors
small precision fmic, with short route piping.
k, i set the TPS to just a hair over .9k ohms, set base timing to around 5 deg.
when i start the car it revs to like 3k or so, then idle surges a little back down to about 1600 or so.
I lean it out ... then lean it out some more... and more... till i am at like -18 or mabye a touch more.. and the rpm comes down... but the wideband says like 18:1 or 19:1.. eeek scary! the egt shows around 475-500 deg. Celcius...
if i richen it back up to get even in the 17:1 range it revs way high again...
how can i bring the idle down??
