Need a FMIC...any suggestions?

Im looking to buy a new FMIC. I want soemthing better than the small greddy one. Bigger is preffered because it just looks hella sweet, But performance is always first. Any ideas? I really dont want to spend as much money as I did on the greddy, 800 bucks.

I just sold my greddy front mount (because i wanted short route piping) to a freind and bought a dejon powerhouse race fmic kit with a slim fan for $960 with short route piping, you could always go with a xs power fmic there is tons of threads about it, i guess people really like it, or just get a core and do custom piping, you can get a core form precision, spearco etc. if you want to do a search for ebay intercoolers and look at some people opinions on them.

what about the megan racing core? i think its like 28 x 11.75 x 3. thats 300 bucks and i cna do my own custom piping

Thats a geat Idea there, but have your considerd water Injection? You can run a 31X7x3 core and pay only close to 150 for that on ebay then spend another 199 on a water injection kit from cooling mist and you will have the BEST of both worlds. Water Injection is a different method of cooling the air charge and in my opinion far superior. Just a thought goodluck.

There are alot of variables when it comes to choosing a FMIC. What are your goals for the car? Check out the link below for some options for you. Also search for topics that other people have posted on FMIC. I see that you have a B16g, so you could easily find someone that has almost the same setup.

The XS Fmic Kit for the 2G comes with a 28X10.5X3.5 core, 2.5" super short route piping polished and beaded, 4 ply silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps for $295 shipped. Look at that big thread in bolt on section. It should answer all your questions.

FWIW, that is exactly what I am doing. I have a FMIC just like that installed and the coolingmist setup is on the bench waiting to be installed for meth injection. I got the coolingmist setup used for $85 so it was a deal I didn't want to pass up.

Me to, Im getting my kit from DevilsOwn water injection. http://www.devilsownonline.com/

I have been on and off the phone with them and cooling mist.DevilsOwn just has the better kit.

for alittle over 200 I will get a 150 psi pump and a 4quart tank and all the other stuff needed

cooling mist is looking for alittle over 300 for the same kit.

Both are shurflo pump and both have parts that are prooven.
