Any suggestions??

Hey guys...... so I figure my HG is out. My car smokes white slightly at idle. Going to do a compression test to suplemment this. Since my car is smoking and if the compression comes back low that would = bad hg right?

Anyways, what type of HG should I use? I haven't heard anything about the AJUSA, I'm thinking just going 4 layer, but should I got or Cometic? Also, what else would you guys say I should do while I have the engine apart? Im in So Cal, does anyone have any idea of how much I should expect to spend on replacing the HG?

what is an HG? A head-gasket?

how many miles are on the car? it may just be worn valve stem seals. if your head gasket is gone its gonna smoke bigtime, all the time.
