posted a thread before about my car not starting and it cutting off when i push the gas. Fixed all that put in a new fuel pump and starter and started it up. It started and i got my friend to rev it up. When he pushed on the gas he told me it would not go over 2500 rpm and when he stomped it it would pump out black smoke from the exhaust. After all this i started looking in the post for something about the car not going over 2500 rpm and i found out something for checking the MAS with a volt meter. I checked the MAS and it was fine put everything back together and tried to start and it would not start. This was just after i had it running. All i did was take out the filter and disconnect the connector on the MAS.
I also would like to know if there is susposed to be a nut on both or just one of the bolts on the crank angle sensor.

My car is a 90 laser, the fuel pump installed is a stock pump, the starter stock also, and i have not yet checked the spark plugs but thats the next thing on my agenda.
