It holds the center part of the front bumper up off the ground, I was wondering what it is called and where I can get one or whats the best way to make one. Its the part that goes to the hood latch and to the front bumper. Mines gone :( .

Yes, and I checked the junk yards and classifieds. Found it on 1990 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE Parts - Mitsubishi Parts | OEM Mitsubishi Parts | Genuine Mitsubishi Parts I think but it says bumper bracket left and bumper bracket right, it also has a support rod, do you guys think I need all 3 or just the left and right bracket?

The P/O said he took it off to fit the front mount on -_-... I got the front mount on just fine, the problem is now the bumper hangs over it making it a huge waste. Has anybody else had this problem?

What were the specs? I was thinking about doing that but I wasn't sure how I was going to go about starting it.

If I'm not mistaken I think one of the vendors sells a "race bumper support" which is enough room to fit a front mount but still give your bumper support so it doesn't sag. I persoanlly would say just zip tie the bumper up top to keep it up, its cheap, easy and work pretty darn well.

Yeah I think STM has it but its like $200 and I don't have that kind of money right now and I don't trust the zip ties to keep my bumper on while I'm on the highway, I wouldn't care but if the zip tie breaks my bumper will probably rip off and I'll end up driving over it. Doesn't sound like a good day to me, I'd rather just try to either find out if that part is the right part or see if maybe someone has the dimensions already to make my own. If not I will probably eventually just end up drawing up something myself and making one with my own plans. But I figured maybe someone had already ordered those parts and knew that they were the right one.

This is what mine looks like right now, a steel small racket thing that I made straight, a piece of steel stuff that I found around my house and like 6 zip ties, but its still flimsy when I touch either side but the center of it.
