DSM Trivia: Name this part

I disassembled my motor and took it to the shop. Had the front case, the rear main seal and th oil filter housing left on the motor. This is left over in the nuts & bolts box and I have no idea where it goes. Please let me know where this goes. It looks important

i just recently completly took apart my motor to rebuild my engine. im almost donr putting it back together and i havent seen that piece anywhere, i dont think its part of the engine

maybe the spring came from a boost controller? looks a bit big though, dunno.

honestly... it looks like it belongs in a 9MM or 45ACP don't know where it would go in the motor...

I checked the manual and this is the only thing I can find that might match but theres already something there. You might have to zoom in to see pic.

If it isn't that it might be the "lash adjuster oil pressure valve"
