Im officially giving up on megasquirt:notgood:

I like the idea but there is noone that wants to touch it I've offered to pay and not tuning shops want to do it.

So Im dropping my expectations to making lots of power and just want to drive my eclipse again. Im dropping MS and going back to the factory ecu I currently have 780cc injectors and am going to switch to either 360cc's or the factory size please let me know what would work best. I have a dsm fuel rail currently with a 1:1 fpr. I have a 4:1 FMU available. What do you guys that have them do about timing. I only want to run like 10-12 psi so can there be anything done? Please advise on what I should do thanks.

Just stick those 330's in there, and pick up an S-FMU. You should be fine with that. No need to worry about timing at only 10-12psi.

Sorry to hear about you giving up on MS, though.

before you give up, why don't you check out efi101.com see if maybe you can take a class or findsomeone who has taken the class and possibly either fly them out or take your car over there.

I know your on the east coast, but there are some guys over here on the west coast that will fly out just to tune. Obvsiously its gonna cost ya but they will.

rrevmotorsports, torquefreaks.

Now that I think about it the guy who helps me and others with tuning is out by you now doing some military training. I'll e-mail him and see how close he is to you and if he's interested.

Wow, dude megasquirt is mostly known for it's DIY tuning capabilities...just do the research etc, and you'll be able to figure it all out. There is so much support on our forums alone, not to mention the megaquirt forum itself...just giving up is sad for all of us :(

hehe, this is why my future plans are for a portfueler, MSnS just seems to advanced/confusing for me. Like Paul said though SFMU and 330's will work just fine for 10-12 psi

Ok I have an FMU Im going to use temporarely until my S-FMU.

Here is my new setup
450cc injectors
S-AFC for the idle

Should be running by the end of this week. Ill keep the FMU on for 8 psi and when the SFMU comes Ill turn the boost up

the FMU (12:1) I'm assuming is going to be a bad idea with those 450cc injectors, I ran my 370cc's with my 12:1 vortech and washed out my rings in a week forcing (LOL forced..) me to complete my rebuild on my spare block.

So either keep the stock injectors with the 12:1 in, or just wait until you can get your sfmu, or barrow a 1:1fpr if you want to keep your 450's in.

Um...I have a 1:1 FPR on my fuel rail. I have swapped a 4g63t fuel rail which has the FPR on the end already. So your are saying that that will work ok with a S-AFC and 450cc's. I had 360cc's and an S-AFC and it ran pretty rich. If it is ligit Ill do it but I do have an S-AFC coming.

Ok I got everything...finally Injectors are in my megasquirt is off and for sale BTW. :thumb:

I do however have some S-FMU questions being I have never used one before and was against it until I gave up with MS. I know which nozzle on the fmu is which the side nozzle goes to the rail and the bottom goes to the tank. It came with three discs. Any one with the Vortech SFMU can you tell me which disc is what psi fuel pressure/ lb. boost. S-AFC needs wired but other than that Im good to go and ready to get it running.
