with the je pistons can i get in the standard size?

Since I will be rebuilding the motor I have decided to go with the 20g instead of the 16g

where can i get them at? everywhere i look you can only get them bored .20 over.

www.howellautomotive.com but be prepared to wait...they take a while to ship cause they are "custom" and not instock, so they have to wait for them to be shipped from JE and then from them to you.....took me about 6 weeks to get my bottom end rebuild kit.

true it was a while, but it was the cheapest place i could find all the parts needed for a complete bottom end rebuild, if you want everything, check their long rod kits

if you are using the super20g
then if you are pretty good at tuning go with the megasquirt
or at the least the portfueler from hahn

they are the best ways to get the most out of that turbo

thanx.

now what all do I need? I am going to go with www.diyautotune.com but I have no clue as to what to get. Sorry for all the questions just need to know so I don't screw anything up.

It might just be me but that thing is to confusing to me so I have decided to go with the portfueler.

THANX A WHOLE LOT ALL THE INFO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't the port fueler like $1200?? I don't understand Megasquirt right now, but I think when I have the cash I'm going to buckle down and go with that.

should I go the extra mile and get the 2.2 stroker?

alotta people are doing that, just depends if you wanna ship your block or take it somewhere to get it bored .20 over....also if you have the funding

My funding isnt all that great but I am going to get the 2.2l stroker. I want that for the torque along with turbo. I am hoping to have the project finished with in two years. :thumb:

I know this is what you don't want to hear, but id say sell it and go a stock turbo route and upgrade that. You will be able to come very close to 350 hp without touching the engine internally. And at that kind of horsepower, a gsx would be the best thing that ever happened.

I am turboing my rs soon. I have all of the turbo parts right now, all I got left is the fuel, tuning, and exhaust manifold. I am going to be around 200 hp. Without a rebuild I will probably never break 225. My goal was 250, and now I realize I wont be able to get that much without major money into the engine.

After my rs is turboed, it will either be sold ot runed down to around 6 psi to keep it as reliable as possible. Then I am going to buy either a gsx or a gst and work towards 300-350 hp. I beleive that will be much easier than 225 hp on my rs.

Good luck with your decision.

umm, you've apparently showed your lack of intelligence, and you should stop posting on this site now along with all the questions you ask :toobad: there are guys hitting 230hp to the wheels just after bolting a turbo on at like 8psi...how bout you do some more research ;) SO.....depending on the tune and additional mods, with the proper knowledge 250whp is attainable without "major money into the engine" :nono:

thank you, come again

PWNED!!!1!!!11111!!1

^ I apologize for that..Just seemed like the perfect opportunity.. :p

This is only the 2nd time I have seen a fellow 420A'er advise to sell and go 4g, and just like the first...SAD
