Well i finally got around to pulling the motor the others day. Compression was off on cylinder two, not out of spec but among other problems (small oil leaks, coolant leaks, and boost leaks) i decided it was time for a rebuild. I have a 6-bolt and a 7-bolt motor to my disposle, ill be going with the 7-bolt. Right now i am throwing around the idea of a 2.3 stroker, but thats not set in stone. Have to see what kind of funds i can save up in the next two months. My goals for the car are not primarily based on HP, but i would like to make anywhere from 320-375. Thats a pretty big gap, but ill be building this car a little over kill. I really would like to have a fun DD that i know when i turn the key it will fire up. For tuning ill be running speed density with Dsmap. My main goal for this whole project is to learn as much as i can and try to do most the work, even the body work. Not much else happening with that so on to the pictures.

good luck dude im just trying to wrap up my swap this week and hopefully i'll be able to get it on the road in less than a month..
your motor looks pretty beat to shit you doing a full rebuild or what?

Yup full rebuild, all seals, all timing stuff. The way im decideing is like this: If it is a pain in the ass to do while the motor is in the car, i should do it while its out the car. I think im pretty set on stroking the motor.
