Just got it today and was wondering what everybody thought of Precision Turbo Engineering's quality just by looking at these pics. its a PT6769SP w/ the TO4S precision anti-surge compressor housing.

$1000.00 shipped. now i have to decided on full-race or victory performance manifold!

Why did you opt to go with the small .63 exhuast housing?

i'm staying T-3 for now. the wheel is a T04 .69 AR, if i want i can put a P-trim .76 AR wheel later if im not satisfied with the horspower. a guy here in oklahoma city made 650 whp and ran 11.1 on FWD on the same turbo. also with the same turbo i can have PTE change out the turbine housing for T-4 if i'm still not satisfied. the turbine housing is actually a GT-3 housing. i got it because of the 4 bolt pattern.

Personal thoughts....

surge ported cover not needed, housing/turbine wheel to small

I do like the 67 though :)

the surge ports are intented for daily use. i drive my car daily and need added protection down below. as to the exhaust side, again this is a daily driven car. i want some boost when i need it. we have 100 octane on pump, that should help alittle.
but i do appreciate personal thoughts.

Nice I plan on going the same route on my trailor queen 90 GSX. Of course I will be going with a little hot side :). Not much though. This turbo will disimate all other cars in your town that are DD ######.Let us know how it goes.

Heres pics of it Polished out. Its not as Silky as I wanted it to be but I am sure if I get some polishing cream It should even out.

That turbo is crap. You should send it to me right now so I can burn it..... I will send you a 14b in replacement and you will be on your way.

It looks great. Nice polishing job too BTW.

I think Victory Performance is having problems with customer service. I already got a VPE manifold through Hung @ Extremepsi.com before the VPE's major malfunction. Hell, Hung switch vendors to SLS and kick VPE out of the line up due to terrible customer service and lack of product!

Yeah they are horrible, I ordered my turbo through them and it took forever i was going to get a manifold too but he said he didnt have any in stock so his welder had to fab one up which who knows how long that would take. so i said screw that I want my car done rather then be waiting 6 months for a manifold.

What did the charge you to polish the compressor cover? My turbo from victory WAS susposed to come polish but it didnt I would still like to have it polished though.

Turbo looks sweet, that should be one hell of a daily driver :thumb: Was just wondering is Victory Performance even still going? I had read in another post they weren't in business anymore but the website was still going & accepting/taking peoples money? I run their the super street fmic setup & can say the quality is amazing. I purchased it a little over a year ago, didn't take to long to get. Think they said 1 week or so to ship & it took an extra week or so. They did end up sending me the wrong bov flange & were supposed to get the replacement back to asap but even after they recieved the wrong one back it was another week or so before they sent out the replace which they charged me for. It ended up taking like 3 months to get a refund for their mistake & that was with bugging them every week. But like I origionally said, quality was defently top notch, all their pipeing is aluminum, which isn't the easiest to weld & all the welds looked like they were done by machine. Plus the quality of the powder coating is probably the best I have ever seen.

Haha! I know what you mean, after 8 months I just got my cylinder head back from Polk Performance with their Stage 4 version. Its a $1000.00 cheaper than Jackson but it made me think if I was going to drive to Arkansas to get some resolution!

The company here charged me $50.00. and thats for anybody price. So If anyone is needing anything done let me know.

Hey Daren, hows everything going? Did you install them yet? I was wondering if they were in business too. Don't get me wrong Scott Belcastro has some awsome quality products and great technical advise along with support but thats were it stops. Instead of putting a disclaimer on the site or contacting prepaid customers of the delays or mishaps or even prewarning customers the company let it drag on for months not letting anyone know about products order status.

Alright you got me... did I install what yet :D ? Looks like they have a bunch of items listed in the classifieds so Im not sure what that means  So what kind of spool times are you expecting with the T67 & what are you running for a redline?

I sold you the Crower springs and Retainers! duh! haha! my memory sucks too. You bought them from me a few months ago!

spool will be around 4800rpm. The head design w/dual valve spring and FP2X cams is going to be able to reach 10,500+ rpm. So when its dyno time I am going to pull till 10,000rpm @ 30psi and see where it falls. If the AFR is good and power still level I will raise to 35psi and go from there.

My memory is good but obviously its short sometimes :D Yes I did install them with the cams back in July I believe, it all went in no problem. Should defently be happy with the 2x cams, couple local guys run them & think their great. Even passed emmissions with them, which I wish I knew before I got my 1x cams. What block will you be running & is it built?

I dont think scott gives that great of advice and doesnt know that much about techinical stuff. When I ordered my 67 it come with an E cover I wanted it changed over to the S cover because of the anti-surge ports. He told me it will affect spool and do something with heating up the air too much or somthing I dont remember exactly. I still think he is full of it but thats just me.

I know what you mean about short term memory loss. It happens only when my wife bugs me about something 15 times in a hour! Good to hear about the install!

2.0L 6 bolt Wiesco pistons and Eagle rods 9to1 compression. I had another block identical I sold recently I was going to use as a backup but decided that money could have gone to more parts.

I am trying to get as much topend as possible. So the FP2x cams should do the trick. I was wanting the HKS 280 cams but I don't think I'll pay $660 for cams when FP2x are only $430 for the pair.

Ouch! that sucks, yeah I would be ticked off too! "Affecting Spool" Thats a lot of horse poop! I have met and seen Tons of people run 1/4s and dyno awsome numbers with anti-surge ports and never once did I hear them say, "only if I ordered my turbo without the ports I could have run 10's and met my hp goal" haha! Is everything OK now? your car looks crazy on the engine detail.

Yeah my car has been running for almost 4 or 5 months with no problems (yet) Although I think my alternator is dying because sometimes it doesnt like to start and I have a new red top optima in the trunk so I dont think its the battery.

Brian Crower 280s $344.00, although fp2xs will probably give you a better power curve.
