I have a greddy t67 laying around, i wanna make 400awhp, t67 is good to 600+ i believe.. t67 is for an evo 8 (triangle exhaust flange).. would i need a custom manifold made, can i use a different exhaust housing, what are my options and would it even be worth it? What results would this turbo yeild? I have a spare block that will soon be a 2.4l.. in advance, thanks guys

What can i price this turbo for? Ive seen just the turbo go for 3k+ and the kits go for 5k+.. are the fp reds/greens good? I dont wanna spend 3k on a turbo.. $800-1,500 would be ideal.. and i have no money till the 67 sells then..

For a used turbo if it is in good condition than i would say between 250 and 400 dollars is what it should go for. If you spend anywhere close to 3k for a turbo you got ripped off big time. You can get fp red for 1350 and a green for around 1200. You can probably get a 20g for a little less.

Apparently not because thats going towards a timing belt job.. and i have to take the dam thing down to mitsubishi so they can find wherever my car is shorting at.. im starting to think this car is my worst nightmare but i still love her LOL.. its like my wife ROFL

why not find a turbine housing to make it bolt on or for t3

NICE turbo. If you wanted to do something else that was easier or bolted up, then you could get a lot for that. BUT, since you have it, be ORIGINAL and try to make it work, the only thing i would be worried about is if it came out of a rotary engine GReddy kit (IE RX7 RX8). You can always make a custom O2 housing so this shouldn't be impossible.

What turbine housing is it? (T3, T4, MHI?) Post a pick up :D

I wouldn't knock it Justin, its a beasty upgraded MHI turbo (even though its says "GReddy" on it and i guess you're not a fan of them or name brand "rice")

Its not a rotary turbo, its an evo 7/8 turbo i believe, exhaust and housing has a mitsu sign on it.. if you think i can make it work, great!!! Thanks buddy :thumb:

And for some reason this site will not let my droid post pics, ill post a pic when i get home

T67 Turbo | Turbocharger Kits

Pic, description, hp rating, 25g hybrid, $2,400 msrp

Says hp rating is 750.. says it spools up 500 rpm faster then the gt35r.. full spool at 4.5k and holds 20 psi through redline..

It's an outdated 25G with a ridiculous price tag that I could build from start to finish for less than 1/5th the cost of a new Greddy unit but choose not to because there are far better turbos out there in that airflow range for the money.

That being said- I'm not a huge fan of a company that takes a product, slaps their logo on it, and charges three times the original price to the unknowing public for the same exact item....although I'm fully aware that it happens every day with everything from food to toilet paper.

But who's keeping track of what I think.... LOL

Its not a rotary turbo, its an evo 7/8 turbo i believe,
So it has a twin-scroll turbine housing, flanged exactly like this?

Otherwise it is not an Evo VIII turbo.

...exhaust and housing has a mitsu sign on it.
Care to take a guess on who built the turbo? Here's a hint- it wasn't Greddy....they just added $1200 to the price tag, that's all.

Sell that T67 to someone who can use it on their MR2 or something. Its not worth the time or money to make it work in a DSM. Hit up JusMX141 after you get some cash to see if he has anything on the shelf for you.

Exactly the point I made all the way back in post #2.

Someone out there is willing to spend a stupid amount of money on the turbo he has just because of the brand. So the options are:

- Sell the T67 for $whatever and buy a used DSM bolt-on 20G for $350-$400 or a freshly-rebuilt one for a little more, and pocket the rest of the money; or...

- Spend a ridiculous amount of time and even more money getting a laggy T67 which is overkill for your current horsepower goal to fit your car. This will require a different turbine housing, manifold, custom o2 housing, and an external wastegate setup. Big bucks.

It's just as outdated as the 20g you're suggesting. It still made over 500whp on my car and it hit as hard as my td06h 20g with more topend power. I used it with my ported 7cm that was for the td06h 20g housing with no problums. Greddy tells you not to take it over 33 psi for good reason. When the shaft breaks, its cheaper to buy a non-mistsubishi variant and make more power for far less then a rebuild of the 25g. That turbo is equal to a old school FP RED in performance, but it cost alot more.

The 67 does not have a twin scroll housing.. because greddy makes their own flange (triangle) and the kit comes with manifold, wastegate, t67, o2 housing, etc.. and yes this kit was made for the evo's.
