Ok i have to chance to trade my 1999 rs(132,000 miles) and 2000 for a 1995(140,000 miles) i have a AEM intake and headers the gst is all stock with rims and a cf hood that has a one foot crack on it but i also get the stock hood......now my question to all of you guys is do yall think i should do the trade or not becausr i really dont want a stock gst because the upgrades will cost me to much cash?

well thanks for your input

Turbo is a wonderful thing, and assuming the GST hasn't been tampered with it will have the eprom ECU in it, which is nice for upgrading tuning down the road.

Without seeing more pictures of the car your trading to/the car you have it is difficult to give a full opinion!

But it is ultimately up to you, maybe hold out for an AWD?

Hope I helped!

well there is also a 98 gsx but i would have to trade my car 2500 and go get it tuned but the gsx has a evo 3 16,550cc injectors, fmic, bov, ect all the goods but that guy is being shady about his car so it worries me ya know

here is the gst so you cal look at it and my car is in the pic for my avatar

1995 Eclipse GST

true but its gonna cost liek 400 to get it to look like the 97-99(which is what i want) and then upgrade parts it just will take a good min to do and i dont have the time or money to do it myself so idk but yall think i should do it? and did you click the 95 eclipse gst and look at it?

Yea i took a look at it, seems to be a pretty clean, well-taken care of car. Keeping in mind pictures tend to hide a lot of things, so if it looks that clean in person your doing good.

One thing that caught my attention is apparently he has more then 9k in upgrades.. where as it really did not look like much was done to it other then the outside..

If he is only asking 3800, I personally would not give him 2000 plus my car, at least up here in Canada even the NAs are worth a little more then that..

I also shot you a reply to your PM, so check that out! :hellyeah:

Why you want a modded one. I don't know what you know. But I think you should start out with a stock turbo and work from there!
No need to get like a level 10 car when you don't know much about a level 3 mod. <---- just an example, LOL!

What all does he have done to the car? He doesn't show ANYTHING under the hood but claims $9000 invested??? Hmmmm, sounds like an expensive paint job and sweet rims to me. No front mount either??? What mods does he have done.

If you look at it, drive it like you stole it. You need to know if it can handle it. Do a Compression test, Leak down test, and boost leak test. List of maintenance and receipts of parts as well.

go dsm dude. upgrades really are not that bad. a well tuned built dsm will destroy any thing.

yea i guess the looks can wait but i want speed mostly it is clean for a 95 tho and i found out it has a bov but that is all that is done it...i also will get the cf hood but it has a one foot crack near the bump in the hood can i get this fixed?

thats a super clean lookin 2ga man i would keep it the way it is personally if it looks clean i love the 2ga's hence why i have one LOL only reason i did the bumper upgrade was because my smiley face front got messed up in a little accident i had so i said why not get the 2gb front but the rest of my car is all 2ga and they look sexy imo so i say get it and keep it the way it is unless you wanna do a fmic and what not then ull need to most likely get rid of the fog lights and trim the bumper a little with my ic i didnt have to trim my bumper at all

yea i will def. want to have a fmic and i def. dont like the rear bumper of that body...but do yall think that a 95 wiht 140,000 is worth my car and 2 grand

the car is very clean for the price... its all around a better car than yours in performance braking and sound IMO... if he wants a trade do it you really cant go wrong with it but just make sure you find out where those 9k went cause i dont se it on the car LOL... get it checked by your tech and if it passes the test/s then your good.:hellyeah:

personally i would say yes its worth your car and 2k i just dk why he would be trading a gst for a na and some cash...

yea and the 9g in clude new tranny and cutch and he added the original price of what he payed for the car

i would hold out for a awd, but then again im colorado, but i still wouldnt ever buy another fwd after having the advantages of awd!!!!! sell your car on craigslist for maybe 2000 and take the 2000 you got and you could get something nice! i got my newest 2g awd for $2000 on craigslist, only needed some little minor work that i did myself and got me a bad ass awd for less then $2200 :D but yeah definately ditch the 420a and get 4g63. i also got another bad ass super clean 2g awd for cheap and a 90 tsi awd (probobly the baddest ass car i will have ever owned!) for $700 because it needed tranny, got the trans for 300 and have a bad ass awd 1g for $1000 all together and it was super clean! keep looking and dont jump into the first turbo you come across, take your time and find something you really want
