Ottawa,
Hey all, my name is Mike and I'm new to this forum, so looking forward to meeting some great people here :)
(Pictures below!)
Anyways, i just purchased my first white 1997 GST with only 90k miles, so to begin with it came with quite a few upgrades for $2,700. Great deal by the way!

Positives: Came with new headliner, new carpet, a short throw shifter, act 2000 series clutch, HKS BOV, intake (HKS as well), Apex'i N1 exhaust (Megan Racing down-pipe; 3.5").

Negatives: Ugly Blitz side-skirt and rear bumper body kit. (i hate body kits), replacement front bumper cover that is black, no turbo wing, and ripped front seat.

**Now for the real question, i need to decide on good rims. What is the bolt pattern? I know they have 5 lugs, but it can use any 5 lug rim??

Thanks guys, and i truly appreciate all your help, expect me to be back here posting some new topics in the near future!

Nice ride!

About the oil. If it wasn't already running synthetic, changing to it can cause leaks. Stick with regular oil made from dinosaurs.

Actually if conventional oil was the only type used, changing over to synthetic especially having 95k on the motor could lead to leaks, that is if there is any clogged oil leaks.

I used royal purple on my old 325i one time and it washed out the clogged leaks and all i had was purple spots in the driveway.

Really ? Who told you that ?

this has actually been debated before. Majority of people believe than running synthethic oil after you have been running regular oil can create leaks..due to a number of reasons that i dont know on top of my head. It said something about worn seals are less resistant to synthethic, which can cause leaks. Try to google the info..very interesting stuff.

I just want to really thank all the dsmtuners.com members that have responded to this topic. This is the best/most helpful DSM forum ever.
Due to all your guys's help.. i began my first project and completed it!

Took my car to a local Mitsubishi dealer service center, they ran all the diagnostic checks (compression, etc...). they fixed all the minor parts needed. I don't feel like writing the list out, but ill just put it this way, cost me $313.48

I wonder why my friend's tsi awd with 160k+ miles has not even an oil leak and it's running on mobil 1 synthetic after spending it's whole life on regular motor oil...

Could be because all seals/gaskets were in good condition and not worn. It all depends on how you take care of your car. I know in my first DSM i ever owned i went from regular to synthethic at 109k and the car had massive oil leaks, in a span of days, most of my oil dissapeared..didnt pay attention...threw a rod eventually. Dont know why it happened, dont care at this point, from now on im just sticking to one type of oil. The guy that owned my GST before me used 10W-30 valvoline full synthethic since 20k miles. The car now has 60k some miles..im going to stick to synthethic.
