ok about the tailights im keeping my blacked out ones...and i dont know about the head lights....and kneipperk i am also talking to this guy about a 98 gsx wiht a evo 3 16g,550cc injecters, fmic, bov, walbro 255,boost and air/fuel gauge and a dsm link but i have to trade my car and 2500 then go get it tuned and that guy is being super shady about his car so i dont know what to think

heres a gsx for sale chock it out and tell me what you guys think

98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

If you want an AWD, wait for another one. I wouldn't trust the guy with GSX. Especially, since you say he's acting shady. It's also not tuned so, I would worry about that too. Just more to worry about. The GST looks nice but, I'm not sure if you should give him 2k on top of trading for your RS. Maybe $1500 tops. It's up to you though. If you really want the GST, I would just go drive the GST and make sure it's worth it. Both the GST and GSX are fun cars to drive. However, the GSX is an all out beast when you are making good power. You don't have to worry about breaking traction all the time and it's great in all weather conditions.

well look at that gsx there

98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

That one's highly modified. I'm sure you like that one though. I would like the car more without the body kit, hood and lambo's but that's just me. It's not bad looking though. The price seem a bit low for what's all done. You just have to be careful when buying a modified DSM. There's a lot to watch out for. I'm sure a lot of members will tell you the same thing. It would be best to bring a knowledgable DSM'er with if you decide to buy a highly modded one.

no i dont like the kit or doors or color.. my dream one is a white 99 gsx those are sex LOL....well i have to trade my car and money for what ever i get so if any one has one for sell let me know

ok i emailed the guy wiht the gsx and here is the reply i got does it sound lagit please help...

This car has been my extremely expensive hobby that I don't have time for anymore. Sad to say it is time for it to go. As far as maintenance, every need of the car was tended to on a strict schedule and only Mobil 1 synthetic oil is was used every 3,000 miles. Looks and Drives like BRAND NEW. This is without a doubt the cleanest most cared for Eclipse turbo you will find. My wife was recently promoted so we had to move New York. We brought the eclipse with us. Besides, there are lot of things which have priority now, so, this car has to go. As you probably noticed, the price is rather low $ 4,200 Dollars for you if you will buy it today or tomorrow. Due to the fact I am very busy with my work and I don't stay too much at home, the car is already to the shipping company and will be delivered there very fast, shipping cost is included in price. The transaction will be made under eBay's buyer protection plan. So, please reply back with your full name and shipping address if you are really interested in purchasing this eclipse so we can start the arrangements!

My best wishes!

Sounds like a scam, anything to do with shipping b/c their busy/out of state is non sense...!!

all i can say is be very careful when buying a highly modified eclipse or talon or whatever dsm it be. make sure you take someone with you who knows a lot about dsms. someone that can let you know what is legit or not. i was totally ripped off when buying my last dsm. it was trashed and i didnt even know it. i was not to educated in the dsm field if you would, at the time, and this gut took advantage of that. so just shop aroung until you find "the one".....dont rush! if it seems to good to be true it probably is.....Good Luck! Be patient!

well im 17 and money is super tight i really want a 97-99 gsx modded or not but i would have to trade them my car and some cash for their car so my chances are slim to none but i will keep looking for one it just seems like every car i come upon other than the gst in the original post are sketchy so will see what happens is any of you guys know of any people wiht gsx that they might trade me wiht some cash please tell me thanks

Above = TOTAL SCAM, I am 100% sure. I work for a car company and work in wholesales, I see 100's of those a week, and it's a scam. Sentences like "The price is rather low at..." "Transmission manual, have only 64,087 miles..." etc. etc. and if you read it, it really seems like he has no idea about DSM's or modding cars. There are a few templates that people use and they all use some of those very same sentences, and it's easier to spot than a Ferrari amongst Geo's once you're used to it. I quote an ad here in Utah (very far from SC), "2004 Honda Accord LX....as you can see the price is rather low at $4,900.." DON'T EMAIL HIM BACK AGAIN! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

And I wish you were closer, I'd snatch up your RS like nothing.

And about the GST, I find it much more pleasant than the GSX (driven both), and I like the whole roll over launch idea. Past 35 mph my car will smoke STi's and Evo 8's no problem when it's running right. I have a heavily modded GST and love it to death (now that it's running). So, I know you want a GSX, but don't discredit the GST just yet, especially cause that 95 is mighty clean looking, and those are way hard to come back out here. Maybe SC is a different story but, I've been waiting for a nice decent priced GST for a long time (just to see if there's one for sale) and have yet to find another one like the one I got over 6 months ago.

well i would drive a gst but idk if i would take one over a gsx.....i will just keep my eye out for a good deal and keeep yall posted

i found this gst but im not sure what it wouls cost to fix it

Yeah, it's 100% up to you what you want. It's your car right? Anyway, like me I ran out of patience. I was originally waiting for a clean ready to go 2gb GSX for about 9 months, but there just wasn't one available (for a good price). One guy wanted like $13,000, so yeah. But anyway, I found my GS-T and said "screw it" and bought it. Considering that I still haven't see a good GSX still (original and unbastardized), and the fact that I enjoy driving the GS-T more anyway (after testing both), I can't say I regret compromising.

But like I said, it's up to you entirely. If you like it, get it.

how much do you think it would cost to fix and put on all the parts in that first one?

you mean the 95 you were gunna trade your car and 2k for? im not sure i wasnt aware anything was wrong with it.. unless you mean the gsx which in my opinion i bought my car stock for a reason.. if i wouldnt have bought it stock it probably wouldnt be running right now because i wouldn't know anything about it doing all the work myself really got me where im at with it now... one day i plan on it being a monster and you bet im gunna do the work myself.

you appreciate something alot more when you've worked your ass off for it

hey man if your talking about the one that says it has a cracked block,i would stay away from it unless you have some cash to throw at it, because if the block is cracked you will have to build another engine for it,and you could run into alot of expense real fast building a engine.

the 97 gst looks like a nice car, the mileage isnt bad and it looks clean from the pics, the only thing that would kill the deal for me if i was buying it, would be that it has an automatic trans in it. but that is a personal preferance. if you like automatics i would get more pics and info on the car.

ok well never mind to that one what about that second one the 1997 gs-t turbo

Are you looking for a 5spd or automatic?

The 97 GST auto isn't a bad deal. Although, you can probably find a better deal on a GSX if you keep looking. To narrow things down a bit, you will have to be sure if you want a GSX or GST. If you really want a GSX, it's worth the wait. If you don't wait, you'll probably wish you did later. No matter what car you get, be sure to get one with up to date maintenance. Especially, if you have to trade your car plus cash. It gets expensive real quick trying to catch up on overdue maintenance. It's best to get a car that's ready to go without any mechanical problems.
