ok sorry about that everything has been fixed. very strange this is usually quite an easy task but oh well enjoy

nice dude, i like it. though the drivers side(opposite of the cd changer) looks bare. a flush mounted cap would look schweeet in there

thats cool i thought the same thing i almost put a screen in there but i think i might try to glass something on top not sure yet funds kinda went dry for the stereo but i appreciate it.

my opinon? put two subs in there with the changer in the middle and a screen either where the amp is or on either side of it.

OMG I couldn't imagine two of those W7's in a hatchback. I've got one 10" W7 in my daily driver, and that is more then enough bass. If you're trying to keep it somewhat cheap, I vote for a capacitor too. You'll need one with that W7 and a 500W JL amp.

to do two w7's i would have to take up the rest of the trunk to get the proper air space. and plus two w7's is way too much for me one suits my taste just fine. when i get another amp i either plan on making a rack where the current one is or redoing the floor and have it flush with that but i do agree it needs something on the side but also remember that the interior plastic is still under there leaving very to lil room for anything else that box for the airspace as seen in the before shots takes up most of that floor area.

show me anywhere that says a capacitor does anything for a 2 sub system and ill get one

Did you read every post. I guess not, because they were saying that sebassttiann needed to put something on top of the box on the drivers side. So they suggested a capacitor.

yeah ive been vearing away from a cap cause my lights dont dim untill i turn it up to unlisanable levels, it hits hard and alternator is strong so...

A capacitor is just a bandaid to the real problem. You need to do whats called the "big three" upgrade. Upgrading the "Big 3" wires in your engine compartment can lower the overall resistance of your entire electrical system. The effects of the lower resistance are typically:

1) Reduced dimming and smaller voltage drops
2) More stable voltage and better current flow
3) Less strain on your vehicle's charging system

So for those of you looking for a cheap and easy way to upgrade your system and help out your electrical system without adding a high output alternator or an aftermarket battery, this is the modification for you. If you have heavy dimming or are getting large voltage drops during loud bass hits, but you don't have the money to spend on a high output alternator or a battery, upgrading your vehicle's "Big 3" will usually help to reduce and sometimes even eliminate the problems. So without further ado, the "Big 3" wires are:

1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

Where'd you purchase the microsuede?

I'm doing something similar, except I'm replacing my spare with a fiberglass bottom, mdf top. I wanna combine both suede and vinyl in layers along with plexi for the amp, just need to find a good source for microfiber, suede or microsuede.

HEY,
This is my first post!
i owned two 12 inch polk audio momo's 500 watts rms each with a 800 rms audiobahn amp in a 91 ranger (it pounded hard and produced quality bass, i was looking at getting a w7 in my talon but wanted to go with two w7s and a decent amp to match that, has anyone heard two w7's in a car before to two momo's what would be the better way to go
2 momo's or w7s?

isn't only a JL 500/1 drastically underpowering the sub? I don't know much about the 10w7 but my buddy has a 13w7 and he has 2 1000/1's powering it?

Actually, the 500/1 is right in the recommended range of power when you look at JL's spec sheets on it. I've seen people with a 1000/1 on a 10w7, which is on the high end of JL's recommended range. Believe me, that 500/1 pushes it just fine.

thanks i purchased the fabric from www.fabric.com but if your looking for real suede i dont know they have two or three different synthetic suedes. and yeah the 500/1 is just enough(some folks go to other amp manufacturers and get something in the 700ish range but i just like jl and their products work well together so) i wouldn;t dare put a 13 in there friend of mine has one in his SI and its nasty another friend has two 10w7 in his escort(were a big w7 family) i like this sub alot cause its clean at all volumes. hits hard when i want it to and sounds nice when i want a calmer sound.

This might sound stupid. But the bottom part of my trunk (the cardboard piece) broke. What did you use to replace it?

BTW I love the setup.

Mine broke too, I used 1/4" mdf from home depot.
