to many horror stories about slowboy. i mean i understand they have worked their way back onto tuners, and that there are still a lot of happy customers, but it seems like being a company you would want 100% customer satisfaction. it seems like the company would strive to make things right.

what happened to the days when the customers were always right no matter what? guess that's a part of our failing economy because no one has the balls to admit when they messed up.

this is also why companies carry insurance.

good luck dude, wish you the best. I have been with this build since the beginning.

At this point I really rather keep my 1g garaged and finish my 2g since I could drive it more.

A note to everyone, if a business don't wanna reply to your emails or answer their phone to you, just go on the forums. I got responses in a matter of no time.

the internet rocks, i guess business's don't really think that their ####ings will be published.

Because they don't care until they know there reputation will take a hit. I guess companies now don't run business like I do, if you have a great customer that has spent loads on money. Why wouldn't you want to make it right... I guess it's not about whats right, its about being paid. I just think this is unique because you have been a loyal customer even though of all the other horror stories. I can't imagine what the people on talk are saying if you posted this there.

Like Slippi said, if the head was supposely so bad, why would they assemble it without a disclaimer on the invoice... I know last time I went to a local shop and had stuff worked on, it said right on the invoice what exactly they had recommend to be fixed but said I would fix on mine own.

Watch what you say - I have replied to every email you have sent me!

I will have more info for everyone to see soon, but yes you will get responses fast - but you are still not going to get the free motor you were begging for via email because you wanted to save a few bucks on your cylinder head.

Slowboy -

You responded to 1 email and that email stated that the invoices I sent you wasnt even the right ones.

You can have all the information you want, this aint the first problem I had with SBR.

#### the free motor, Im sure there are other companies who would treat a customer like me a lot fair than slowboyracing and I would rather spend my money there. Lets not mention all the parts slowboyracing lost, lets not mention all the wrong parts I received, lets not mention all the slow shipping, and a ton more.

I guess I start with going to the Better Business Bureau and going to other forums to start a petition to let this be known.

Im still in the service so Im gonna pass this onto other service members home and overseas.

Yeah Joe sent me the wrong rods and it took forever to get the right ones shipped to me. He then never finished my OEM order I needed so I got most of it from JNZ and Oliver. Also, he told me to f*cK off via text (regardless of what he was doing or where he was at you don't tell a CUSTOMER that that puts food on his table) so I decided to part ways with SBR for a while. Either than that, Oliver seems to be a little better at his job and I've since bought some OEM parts from him.

You honestly just have to get f*cked enough times before you find the right vendor. As for Mike and Candy Huml you have to understand that they are hurting bad in this economy and can't afford to help you out bro. You're just going to have to suffer and reap the consequences of what has occurred. I'm sure if you flame them enough they will take care of you.

Shitty dude, but honestly the more I hear about slowboy racing, the more I wonder why people still go to them for anything. The local mitsu site I am a member of (mitsustyle.com) has a 45+ page thread, showing all of the shit people on there have experienced, or have seen on the net. I'd say take your money elsewhere if you are having another motor built, from what the people I know have went through (not me personally, because I wouldn't buy a bolt from SBR) they seem very reluctant to make any effort to make things better. :ohdamn: I'm starting to wonder when people will learn.

Anyways, the car is evil, don't put another p.o.s. sbr longblock in there. Hope you get things worked out, and hey, maybe sbr will prove me wrong and step up. I'll start holding my breath....now...:D

I can understand if they was like ok send us the long block for we could check it out to see whats wrong, or better yet supply us with parts and we build it again with TLC. I mean come on, I really stood by slowboyracing through everything, we were like husband and wife. Now she wants to leave me with the children n pay her child support smh!

I still don't considered SBR to be considered horrible vendor, like everything everywhere else people make mistakes. The key is to figure why, discuss how to make it better for it wouldnt happen again, than BAM better business more money. In the military, after a mission for Iraq we discuss what went will and what didnt. b4 you know it we only had good things to say because we know what not to do wrong again.

wow 47 pages of anger.

Well earned anger if you ask me. Not everybody can get bent over for $1000+ dollars and shrug it off.

But thats enough about that, how is this resolution coming? :sneaky:

This type of bad press really sucks for company's. Due to just this thread, I bet they will loose a large amount in sales. However, they are a sponcer here, I bet this thread will get deleted once it gets 'resolved'

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I was on the fence on who I was gonna order my short block from... :hmm: Down to two choices now

They have had bad press, for a long lonnnggg time. And if any of the bad press gets deleted, then shame on dsmtuners, because even though they're a sponsor, people deserve to know what's going on with a company. Especially, if the company is screwing people over.

ANYWAYS, sorry to get this thread so off topic, let us know what happens as a resolution. Would suck to see a project like this stall out because of something like this. Keep at it:hellyeah:

I don't wanna stop working on it but I'm finishing up a degree in criminal justice and moving onto another degree right after and slowly getting my Masters in criminal justice at the same time. It isn't like im gonna part off this Talon because that isnt gonna happen for sure.

Well good to hear you're not giving up! Then again if us dsmers gave up easy, not many of us would be driving our cars. (then again, a good chunk of us aren't driving our cars...)

Shouldnt be deleted, it is a build thread that got messed up, posted pictures of it and said what I felt needed to be said.

Take care of your customers for some reason thats how business is done. WE are supporting you not the other way around.

First off, whether or not Mike and Candy are hurting bad in this economy, Customers should be taken care of. Thats what happens when you own a business, you Right your wrongs. If they can't "afford" to do so, they shouldn't be selling any products, or building $2200 stock (reconditioned rod'd) shortblocks, when I can do the same build for $600...Come on.

Second, they throw money/ time into their cars and waste a lot of time assembling Slowboy Racecars to show off at the track, They can barely answer phones. Marty is the only person I ever talk to?? Poor guy's probably sick of talking to me by now.

Third, If OP has proof, documentation, that should say it all. If I'm under the wrong impression here and everyones being fooled by DWR-DSM, (Not likely because he has not skimped anything on this build, and seems like he knows what hes doing), than accept that I'm Sorry.

Fourth, who the #### at Wiseco/Manley or/ whatever pistons those are, would let those Valve Reliefs go out like that?

Sorry for who I offend, Slowboy has been good to me (have had 3 small interactions) but I have 2 (two) friends that have not been satisfied fully within the last month or so.

Can't wait to here more, and want this build to get back on track.
