Looking good. Nice oil pan, did you make it so it will clear the cross member?

If you have the patience (which I don't expect you would) to go back and ready all the other posts, he mentioned that he got rid of the cross member, thus leaving plenty of space to have a huge oil pan so close to the ground....(kinda like a VW)

I'm not about to go back and read everything again, but didn't he say he's making a custom crossmember piece? Maybe Zero will come back in to clarify.

Sorry, I've read this whole thread at one point or another each time it gets brought back up. But I don't remember every last thing he's doing to the car, must have forgotten whatever was said about the cross member.

YES i am getting rid of the OEM cross member.

The final design has not been decided on yet, i do have some sort of idea on how it will work out, but it will look pretty sick once it is done

you can see in the first two pictures that the cross member is not on the car yet, but there are also alot of thing not on the car yet.

My valve cover is being modified for the -12an lines, this lines will go to a custom breather box.

Awesome! I like the turbo supports, almost seems like they were meant to be there.

Wow, should be a pretty interesting manifold for that setup. I can't wait to see more :)

This is probably the most-different 420a build I have ever seen before. Great job so far.

Are you going to be running one of those halfwidth radiators? What about intercooling? I imagine with that setup that you would be running a liquid to air intercooler? Great photos! Great fabricating! Awesome rollcage fab! Your build is scarey and beautiful! Looking forward to seeing pics of the tubular subframe replacement!

YES my RADITOR will be a half size, it is basicly the size of a civic radaitor, not to sure how it will be mounted yet, but we are thinking of, A "V-mount" in the engine bay on the driver side.

The INTERCOOLER will be an air to air, i cant run a liquid IC in SFWD. It will be mounted right next to the turbo on the driver side. Soooo the turbo will blow right into the IC.
The new diamensions for the IC will be 12x12x5.5 the ic will have 3" inlet and a 4" outlet with custom end tanks.

I really really anted to do the subframe BUT after doing some reshearch and checking the rule book along with the NHRA....We found out it is not aloowed int he rule book to modified anything that ataches to the firewall...:(

BUT the custom crossmember will get done and is being worked on right now

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!!!

Looking good, man. Hurray for the half rad :thumb: . I've tried to tell other owners it's the way to go but they seem to be askeered. Definitely works great and saves room.

That IC looks like one tough geometric mod ;)

are you going to be using the modular clutch set up with the flex plate design? because i used it with my spec stage 3 clutch and broke it twice so now i converted to the non modular set up and am hoping to not run into any of those issues

The only thing I don't like about it is how you need to do some pretty fancy plumbing since the inlet and outlet of the stock radiator are on the opposite sides. Have you thought about getting a small section of steel U-bend TIGd to the lower radiator hose and beaded?

I could use all the room down there I can get, but I just don't want miles of rubber hose.

im using -16an fittings for all my upper and lower fittings ..also in the picture is the head flange
