ok the situation has gotten unbearable. i just recently dropped $2000 on a new turbo setup and a bunch of controllers and electronics. i took on this upgrade because i blew my stock 14b turbo. i have everything installed and car is running. but now after my stock turbo blew, i get a loud hum/whine coming from the timing side of the motor. the noise level of the hum/whine gets louder with the greater rpms. i noticed i have a little leak now from the water pump, im guessing the water pump got hit during turbo installation and the oring is now leaking. before the turbo blew i bought and put on a brand new alternator acc belt and timing belt. any ideas guys?

i took my car for a beat run last night, i was tryin to listen to the whine/hum and now when i got back i parked my car, and i was letting it turbo time, now it sounds like there is marbles in my valve cover. any ideas?

another problem i am having is my really low oil pressure. i run 20w50 before i blew my turbo the stock oil psi gauge would read 3/4 + pressure, now after new turbo and oil change, still running 20w50 i only get MAYBE 1/2 pressure. and also every once in a while when i come to a stop my dummy light flashes. i checked the wires on my oil sending unit and the wires appear to be fine, along with the sending unit itself. any ideas?

Wait, you don't have a TIMING COVER on the ENGINE?!?! Do you hate your valves or something?!?! Please tell me it's off just for now while you are working on it and that your are not driving around without the timing cover on. Most likely you have a worn/overtightened belt (Timing or BS) or bad bearings in any of the other listed items

well it went tonight, thank god. i broke it. apparently 2 weeks ago when i blew my turbo, the ugliest thing had happened, and i thought i was ok. seems a peice of the fin / bearing got into the motor most likely. my balance shaft froze up on me, ripped my belt to shreads...so in gonna replace my oil pump and get the elimination kit, replace my seals and gaskets on that side, along with my water pump etc. and call it a night...

Do a compresion test! You might have bent a few valves!

The fragments could have got cought between the valves and there seats and bent them on impact.

drop your oil pan and check your rods. Last time my bro did this (frozen balance shaft/oil pump), it was the oil pump that froze up due to lack of oil. The pump stopped immedately and ate up about 30-40 teeth on the timing belt. The sudden shock caused the #1 cyclinder rod to break it's rod cap loose. The rod shot up and when it came back down it bounced off the crank and it got wedged between the crank and the block, there was a massive crack on the inside of the block. He had to get rid of the car.

You are explaining similar expeirence, leaking lubricants, sudden frozen engine, etc.

yep.....pulled everything apart tonight drained the oil, smh....A LOT OF METAL, the balance shaft bearing was cracked in half, sorta. there are still peices missing. needless to say, its time to take the motor out of the parts car....MOTOR SWAP
