Lots Of Problems!!! Need Help Bad!!

hey i have a 97 eclipse gst....pretty much stock except for a 3 inch exhaust and a HKS SSQV BOV with re-circulation kit....my car has been idling now at anywhere from 300-around 750 but sounds as though its bogging out or "putting"......i used to be running around 14-16 psi before the problem started and now im only running any where from 6-8 if i'm lucky.....and when my RPM's get to about 5000 when im driving.....the car once again begins to "putt" or bog out and it WILL NOT pass 5000 rpms which forces me to change gears early and it feels as though the car has no "pull" or power like it used to throughout the entire RPM range.....also when im driving or cruising at a steady RPM.....the car once again will begin to bog out and "putt"....i changed the normal fixes like the spark plugs, wires, coil packs, and fuel filter.....i also ran a compression test on the motor and each cylinder is at about 140....i just have no idea what it could be.....PLEASE HELP!!! its killing me......

Sounds like a big old boost leak. Run a boost leak test then post back.

Yes. Sounds like you popped off a hose somewhere, or a major boost leak. Check your IC pipes and couplers, and check the BOC flange/gasket.

oh and i forgot to mention.....it wont do this "putting" all the time....it will often idle fine and run fine until it gets to 5000 once agian where it begins to putt and either way it never has the pull it used to....and when it does putt the idle will bounce around often....such as idling at 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 2000, etc.....its really weird and led me to believe it was the TPS but that doesnt explain why it wont go past 5000 and doesnt have the pull it used to....so im gonna still run that boost leak test on it and ill post back but any more suggestions as to what it could be would be really appreciated.....thanks
