Mostly Stock Laser Running Very Lean

First off I will start with the car and mods.

Its a mostly stock awd Laser RS. My mods are as follows.

MAFT Gen-2
Palm Datalogger
3 Inch Turbo-back w/ Testpipe
Boost Gauge
Others I may be forgetting are in my profile..

I cant post my logs because my computer doesn't have a serial port.

With the Maft settings all zeroed out:

At Idle - 750 RPM
LFTM stays at 139%
INJD is around 1.5%
TIMA 11*

When I put the throttle down to 2000:
LFTM will drop to 137%

I have to add +20% fuel to get my idle at 100% and I feel that this is quite alot for a stock fuel system on a 14b

Currently I have my Low Settings on my Maft set to +5% until 3000 then 3% up to 5000.

My LFTR bounces around 198% at idle.

I only experience knock (7-9 counts) around:
RPM - 2000
INJD - 10%
TIMA - 15%

This knock is usually when I'm (mildly) taking off from a stop or under mild low throttle crusing and usually stops when I shift gears.

When I go full throttle I get zero knock.

When I go WOT (1st and 2nd Gear):
RPM - 6500
INJD - 87%
TIMA - 28%
o2-R - 0.91v

My car never knocks in open-loop. It seems not to happen every time I take off from a stop but it does happen a good amount of the time and the car feels sluggish alot of time until I shift to 2nd. If I really step on it, It takes off quick and seems to do well.

All in all the car drives pretty damn well but its just a little sluggish taking off and running really lean..

how much boost are you running and are you on stock injector and pump

yea, sounds like he's running stock 450's ... too much air for the fuel delivery ...

get a 255 sounds like your running out of fuel for the amount of boost

Stock Boost, Stock injectors/pump as far as I know, Previous owner didnt mod the car at all.

I also dont have a WB.

Would it most likely be a problem with the fuel system causing the car to run so lean? Something like a weak fuel pump or bad FPR?

Edit: I should also note, my car still had this lean condition before I installed the MAFT Gen-2. I installed it hoping I could even out my trims but I have to do such big increments I feel something isnt right.

Ok, so if Im in the market for a pump and I'm not really looking to push this car much harder. I may get a fmic and upgrade to a 16g turbo someday but as it stands the car is mostly complete.

Should I just get a new stocker pump? Or would a 190 be better? Id rather not have to get a new afpr.

S my question I guess is, Can I get a 190 pump and just drop it in w/o troubles with my current setup?

I am also planning on doing the rewire.

Hah thank you. I've read the upgrade path but seemed to have missed the part about only needing a AFPR with a 255. The 190 should be on the way soon... Currently adding +7% across the board with my MAFT and driving pretty slow.

My car occasionally knocks under moderate throttle. 6 or 7 counts.

Once I get the pump all I need as the intercooler piping and stage 1 is done. Oh baby
