having problems with my 97. its hard to get started. usually gotta turn it over for about 5 seconds about 10 times and then it will start. it runs and drives fine but it idles at about 300 rpm and everytime i stop it will die, probably because it idles so low. i cant get it to idle any higher. im also throwing codes: coolant temp, map, iat, and maf. ive tried different map and maf sensors and nothing changes. is there anything else that would affect that, what do i do?

Adjust the BISS on the throttle body.

A bad coolant temp sensor will cause a hard start......the car will be extremely hard to start and run very rough and extremely rich until it is warmed up.

Your MDF sensor shouldn't affect how the car runs.

If you're throwing those ecu codes despite swapping MAS sensors that are KNOWN good perhaps your wiring harness to the maf is broken. Check it for pulled connectors, damaged wires, or perhaps just poor connectivity.
