Missing Exhaust mani bolt?

ok, i guess my fix for this would be to pull off the exhaust mani/turbo and see if the bolt is simply missing, or was broken off at the head? Worst case how bad could this repair be if the bolt snapped off?

That's most likely where the exhaust fumes are coming from. I recently had to run mine on being one short when the threads broke on a bolt and i needed to go buy a new one with the one car I had available, and on the drive over I noticed a loss in power, and an exhaust smell. If it's simply missing, replace the bolt. If its broken off in there you could pick up an easy-out kit and drill into it and and get it out that way.

I'd just remove the turbo and mani, maybe even the radiator to get more room. If the STUD is just plain gone you'll need to use a heli-coil kit. Or a timesert which I prefer. For ease of use and reliabilty.
