Okay guys, I just bought a rust free 2GA Talon TSi shell. I got to looking at the car and it's very clean and straight. No rust, no strut tower rust nothing.

But the weird thing is the rear bumper fitment. It looks like the brackets aren't positioned correct or that the person who mounted it just wanted to be lazy. So they just zip tied it on.

What I'm needing to know if is there is any special bracket for it and the rear wheel well area. Also. I have a question about where my passenger airbag plug should be (I'm having to replace mine).

Thanks for the help. I'll provide pictures if needed.

Its possible it was an eclipse earlier in life. The brackets are different for the two, and they are spot welded onto the trunk panel. The airbag plug should be towards the center console side behind the airbag. The wire is kinda long so it could be tucked pretty well.

Great. This car has been a TSi all its life, the VIN says so.

Likely it was a lack of bolts for doing the mounting. I also have seen a poorly mounted FMIC on the car. These things don't really bother me much though. My main issue now is getting 2GB rear bumper (I already had a front 2GB on standby) so now my biggest question is why is my carpet fitment so hard. It had swapped black carpet, but seems to have no mounting holes. Aftermarket?

What I figure, I have almost a full interior swap. I guess I'll find some grey carpet, cause I have a black dash and center console.

When I ordered my 2gb TSi-AWD in '96, I picked tan/black inerior. Dash and center console are black, but the door panels are black/tan and all of the interior plastic panels (under the dash on both sides of your feet, side panels over the rear side speakers, a/b/c-pillars, etc.) are tan. Front and back seats, trunk panel, head liners, etc. are all tan. Carpet/headliner/leather/vinyl color matches those plastic parts, so it's not just the dash/center-console color that implies the other (grey/tan) color.
