Minimal gains

Well over the winter I went from a evo 3 16g to a to4e 50 trim, I also added a SBR manifold and 3" intake. Evo 3 was at 20psi, the 50 trim is at 18psi slowly climbing to 20.

After finally getting the car back togther I took it out today with Staytuned to do a little tunning. I was expecting to see some gains, nothing major but I thought I should gain some airflow.

Well after tuning it turn's out my S-AFC setting's remained the same and I'm only seeing around 1900hz airflow, i could see around 2000 with the Evo 3. So it seems that the two turbo's are equal at 20psi which doesn't really make any sense to me, anyone have an explanation??

Well, one thing you have to remember is that as you turn the boost up, that 50 trim will create a lot less heat than the 16g at higher boost pressures. That in itself is a very nice gain, even though you may not notice it yet. I'm willing to bet that the 50 trim will blow the 16g out of the water if they were both at 22psi

Yah I'm gonna try to turn the boost up abit tomorrow and see if that helps.

20psi is still well within the efficient range of the evoIII. The higher the boost the more difference you will see.
