The seat by itself weighed 15lbs then with the brackets from Summit (dual locking sliding bracket and aluminum stationary bracket) it weighs 22 lbs. Don't really need the sliding bracket though unless you're like me and decide on a different seat position everytime you climb in the car. Its about the cheapest lightweight seat you can get that is still high quality.

This is why i dont run dsm here in alttona you never know what your going to get.

What happened in the second time slip? Your mph in the 1/8th was 2mph over than the other slip but your quarter was 7mph lower?

Mine weighed 22 lbs total with brackets and 5 point g-force harness included and of course the seat cover. Unless I'm majorly mistaken (because it looks the same) its the Summit Racing seat.

Do you have part numbers? How much did everything run you? I think I need to drop more weight from my AWD. Race weight last year was 3180lbs with me in it. :nono: :sosad:

I'm thinking -150lbs + 10more psi of boost should get me low 11's easy. ;)

You can drop 150 lbs easily. Check out my tech article in the interior/exterior section for some tips. Also for the seats and brackets all parts from www.summitracing.com
SUM-CSUM110 The seat part number w/cover
SUM-G1151 fixed brackets
SUM-G1153 dual locking sliders (must use these ones to be NHRA legal)
Like I said before you can go without the sliders and just use the stationaries, but it'd be tough since you wouldn't be able to use the factory bolt in spots (unless by some freak circumstance you were the perfect height) and its just nice to be able to move your seat around for maximum positioning and comfort while drag racing.
Total cost of 102.85 + shipping plus I got 15 summit bucks for my next order :)

If you look at the timestamp, the second slip is later in the day. What happened is that I was running well, turning the boost up each pass. I then reached a point at about 32, 33, or 34psi that I compleatly blew the spark out. I fouled the piss out of the plugs and had to change them. I then turned the boost down to 25 and proceeded to hot lap the car. The lanes were mostly empty and I was getting a pass every 5 minutes not shutting the car off. So I got a better launch and put together a good 1/8. Half track is traction for me, so the lower boost didn't matter. However it didn't pull on the top end because I didn't have the extra boost. So, their ya go.

did you put all your interior back on..? also where did you mount your seat belt harness..?

how hard was it to mount SUM-G1151 fixed brackets?

also how does it feel with and without the seat cover..?

Took me 6 hours to blow holes in them. If this is your first time, buy an extra set to screw up. Steps.

1. bolt brackets to car.
2. Screw in 5/16-18 cone point set screws into the 4 holes in the summit race seat.
3. lay the seat into position in the car and sit in it. This will leave marks. Use dykem if you can't see it.
4. follow up the marks with a center punch
5. double check
6. You sure?
7. Blow the holes.
8. bolt down brackets using grade 8 hardware.
9. Tilt the seats and remove material off the mounts if they hit like mine.
10. have a beer, because if your like me you took your time and you just blew a day making it square, true, and perfect.
