He made "Thriller," man, "Thriller"(Chapelle show)
I'll bet he died as of a result of a long use of prescription & non-prescription meds. Years back I remember he was battling addiction to Tylenol and numerous sleeping pills. The heart can only take so much.
His music was influential and motivating to many and will be missed by alot of people
He got no "air time" in my cars though

Never knew it was possible to get addicted to Tylenol. But I guess so.

Are most of you blind to the fact this this man died...Today...Can't you wait a couple years to bash him like this..Like most have said this man was an ispiration to many across the entire world..Have any of you done that kind of work with your life.. I hate that people don't give respect to peole even though there dead..You would't want him to talk s***, why should you do it without even being prevoked..

Just because he died? FYI everyone dies.. It sucks yes but he was a headcase and a sicko and I have no respect for him.

Yeah your right I guess other people that have been inspirations to a couple of million of people around that world that are not sick in the head and lie out there asses about said thing and plastic sugery.

Erwin Rommel was an isperation to millions of Germans but since he was a field commander for the german army in ww2 hes a bad guy (even though he wasn't a fanical nazi)

Stalin was an insperation to millions also and he killed his own people. Hes a nutcase I bet if he died you would jump down on him for being sick and crazy blah blah blah.

You act like I said this about your brother or family member and its just a famos wacko. Get over it this is a forum and the last time I checked its a DSM automotive forum not I like Mr Jacksons fan forum. I'm sure there are some out there.

I personally am more upset that faucett passed than him. at least she was good looking and eye candy and posed naked in playboy. Well waco jacko could of the heff would of went bankrupt.

I was 16 years old and actually THERE when Michael Jackson invented modern pop music, unlike most people on this site. And just a couple of years earlier, I had the famous Farrah poster plastered on my bedroom wall and spent way to much time wondering what those (no need to mention what "those" refers to) were really like.

I'm a bit nostalgic about Farrah being gone. As for Michael Jackson... I really just don't care for some reason, even though I spent way too many hours learning to moondance and jamming to Eddie Van Halen's solo in "Beat It".

.oO I wonder how many people here even know who EVH is... much less that it was his guitar work that put MJ on the map with "Beat It" (at the request of the producer Quincy Jones) :)
 
Yea i think bashing on MJ is just not right. I also didn't like what he got into throughout his career, but he is who he is... the king of pop. either way he deserves a little more respect.
 
Wow. How does anyone expect to post up a Michael Jackson thread and not get flamed. If anyone wants to ride one of his rides, we have two of them from Neverland down here at Beech Bend. Its a fun ride, you get to sit down and spin around and get poked in the butt when it reaches full speed. You just have to sign a waiver first.

I so wanted to go to the reunion van halen concert last summer..

I heard MJ isn't dead that he flew on elvis's private jet to some island in south america.
 
I have mixed feelings about it (what few I have).

As I mentioned, I don't really care that he died. But since I was there and saw what he accomplished (the bottom line is that he pretty much invented the modern music scene)...I have to respect that.

As for what he became image-wise long after those days...well I don't really have an opinion. He definitely seemed a bit freaky in his actions, but since I'm not psychic, and I wasn't in any court hearings involving him, and I know how biased the press is for a good story...who the hell knows what the guy was really like.... and I just really don't care. :)
