so this month in trpoical park next meet in markum mark or what not??? :hellyeah::rocks:

I don't know, for now it'll be tropical park. I might to talk to chris and have the april meet done on amelia park in hialeah. Lots of space there.

im with pab on markum park..... im coming from the hollywood area... driving all the way out there is not really something i look forward to every time .... we should take a drive out to a local dave n busters or somethin and end the day with some fun :rocks:

only reson im say to have a meet in broward is because there are alot of dsms up north and i know they wont go all the way down there im just tryin to make this thing bigger ...

Hey, anytime you guys want to start a meet up north just say so. I'm only starting a meet down here in Tropical because there is a lot of us down here. Used to be very big back in the day from what I've seen but it all died out. So I'm trying to make it a monthly (or ever 2 month?) thing.

You can plan a Broward meet anytime, I'll def be there if it's a DSM meet. Hell, I actually think our very next big DSM meet should be at County-Line Dragway if you ask me.

county line sounds like a tight spot to hold a meet... i hear they changed some of the rules though (one including that you need to wear a helmet if you have a sunroof???) i'd go to chill but not to run my car if thats the case... im thinking next meet should be somewhere like TY park on sheridan... its pretty much right off the highway and theres enough room for practically every dsm in the south florida region :hellyeah:

I have small portable BBQ, small cooler and small folding table we use for tailgating at the UM games. Actually I have huge coolers, tables, tent, etc since we usually take my truck to tailgate and not the little Eclipse. But for this event its in the GST so it has to be the mini stuff....

So aside from the small bbq, a small cooler (6 drinks max), I'll bring a pack of 8 hot dogs, 8 bubba burgers, cheese and bread, and a bag of doritos plenty of mustard, mayo and ketchup. I know I and my nephew are eating at least 1 burger dog each so its not going to be enough for everyone. The point is that will run out quick.

Everyone is welcome to use my grill and the condiments (you might have to wait a turn to get stuff on there as its pretty small) but you guys need to bring your own stuff to cook. I suggest some napkins, a few paper plates, chips, or whatever other snack stuff you might want to eat too. There's also a McDonalds across the street.

One last bit of advice: Make sure your tag is current, there's no issue with your driver's license (suspended, revoked, unpaid tix, etc), no bench warrants and you have no contraband in the car. With all the DSMs AND the plans for a cruise it is quite possible some or all of us will be targetted to be pulled over and/or checked out. Don't you yourself provide the reason to get ticketed or arrested. If people do crazy stuff - speeding, burnouts, massive revving and generally negative attention attracting behavior it will be inviting complaints from others at the park and certain trouble from LEO.

With all this said I must say EVERYONE was very cool and calm at the last meet and there were ZERO issues or problems.

I'll be there about noon on 3/29. :hellyeah:

Sounds good. Thank god for McDonalds across the street, i love eating there, LOL. Can't wait till the 29th comes by.

I'm willing to bring plates, napkins, hotdogs & buns.

wouldnt it be easier to get a head count that way we dont under/over buy stuff?? i have no problem with picking something up on the way but i also dont want to spend money on something if its not really necessary :thumb:

There will be the whole gamut of DSMs from beaters, bone stock to pretty fixed up and everything in between. Any and all are welcome.

Everyone started somewhere. These and a few other DSM enthusiast forums are an absolutely invaluable resource to any DSMer.

I recently also picked up a prettyy good book that I saw talked about on these boards: How To Build Max-Performance Mitsubishi 4g63T Engines by Robert Bowen and contributions from Robert Garcia at Road Race Engineering (and other well respected DSM people). Its only about $17 plus a reasonable shipping cost (Amazon). While nothing in it is not available at these and other similar forums, it is a reasonably priced single reference source of material that is useful for any DSM owner to have - even if you never end up modding the car.

See you at the meet!

Haha thanks I feel welcome then for sure than! :hellyeah: , I'll let my friends know as well we have a group of three eclipse gsts stock that they probably are interested. It's very rare seeing a gst or gsx or even a 2g eclipse here in Broward it's like a blue moon when you see one out on the road haha guess we are all the last of the dieing breed? LOL

i got about 5 other friends with dsm's that will be coming but i think we sould make it a dsm/evo meet lots more will show thats 4 sure
