Damn, if my car was running I would have been there... I have been letting some people know in the Miami area about the meet in tropical park, DSMtuners user juanjose on here asked me if there were any meets and I told him about this one in tropical park (I've never been to a meet, I plan on going to one of these soon). I'm going to send him a PM, linking him to this thread. :thumb:

Also the map on the beginning posts above, very good on the map! That's a clear explanation so nobody can get lost, even though I won't ever get lost down here (very familiar with the streets all over Miami :D).

Oh well, i'll catch yall on the next meet! :cool:
 
We're going to be having another meet on March the 29th. A month ahead of time to give everyone a chance to be ready for it. I'll post more info on it but it'll be at the same place, and going to try to get an even bigger turn out. Though instead of starting at 11am, we'll start at like 1pm or so.
 
Still waiting on other people to post some pics... I know I wasn't the only one with a camera there.

Yeah, same here. Count me in on March 29 because I plan to be there aswell as Dsmj89. :thumb:

Although, I do admit that judging by the pics, it looked a bit empty (how much, 6 or 7 DSMs only?)

I plan on helping out next time around and getting at least around 15-20 DSMs around next time. Closest thing i've ever been to a meet (this would still be considered a meet) is I used to go to okeechobee every friday night and sometimes saturday with my friends, that place is hella packed (even the traffic around that area is nothing but import cars) like some Fast and the Furious movie type shit. Everyone revs their motors, peel out, show off and everyone also gets tossed out by the cops every week, LOL.

I used to go there like crazy but I kinda stopped showing up a few months ago because I was busy with college. It's near the wendy's right off of I-75 by Graham Dairy Road, don't know if any of you heard of that spot (near the shell gas station and the big shopping complex right in front where the 350Z's drifted there one night).

I've even seen Mk. IV supras and R34 skylines following corvettes, heading somewhere. That's when the "Big Boys" come out, haha! LOL

Any of you ever heard of that spot? We call it the hangouts. :cool:
 
That's my spot hehe. Publix is right in front as well as mc.donalds. Everytime the cops raid the place it's a little drive-up and drive-down the road all damn night haha. It's hilarious, back and forth from shell to the u-gas back to the publix parking lot. Oh gosh...
 
6-7 DSM's is more than what I normally see at the DSM meets I go to. I'm talking about ONLY DSM's. No other cars.

I know about those other spots where they have multicar meets, but I avoid them because observing people doing burnouts and revving engines every 10 min can get a little annoying.

The meet on Sunday was mature, even though there were only a handful of people who showed up. Hopefully there will be a lot more people next time :cool:.
 
I'm pretty sure there will be a bigger turnout with this date already planned way ahead.
If it weren't for hose little ricer kids doing their stupid burnouts maybe cops would be more chill with us hanging out at the gas stations.

HEY! I don't burn out over there (LOL, I personally think it's a waste of tires) but I do haul ass on graham dairy road in front of the gas stations and wendy's, venting off my Greddy Type S BOV while showing off in the process, as i'm heading on my way to the U-Gas right off of Okeechobee by the Denny's. :cool:

I'm pretty sure cops don't like it when people burnout or haul ass on that road, but it's hard to resist for me not to haul ass unless if i'm rollin tight in a car pack on my way somewhere, then I kinda calm down if everyone else is calm that is.

Lots of people haul ass down that stretch of road by the gas stations tho. I've seen some crazy shit, like a pack of 6 ATV 4-wheelers showing off and haulin ass from Hialeah Gardens police, this one guy (looked like the leader of the pack) was heading on the oncoming lane in his ATV on graham dairy road towards I-75, a cop flashed his lights and started driving head on towards him fast. Then the cop slammed the brakes and the ATV just went around him (looked almost like a head on collision was going to happen).

Then the ATV wen't around and did a u-turn, right when the cop did a u-turn to follow, just to mess with he cop's head. Then the ATV just hauled ass along with the rest of the ATV's and went off roading running away from alot of cops by the wendy's heading out back. The cops couldn't follow them anymore. Everybody including me and my friends were just watching in shock like "oh shit, they're burning the cops off road, LOL!"

Cops couldn't do shit to them! LOL

We should be expecting a MUCH bigger turn out on the 29th of March. So come on over if you can. I'll also be going to California for about 2 weeks so it's kinda like a good-bye party LOL. ;)

If you own a DSM, come on over. If you know friends with a DSM? Bring em over as well. Should be an awesome meet.

Haha yeah i was there when that stuff happens. Funny as hell, cops just gave up. Good' ol hialeah.

listen guys i need all of u to agree on a day were everyone can come for a big meet on a sunday chrispy posted the 29th but im in the military and i gota report to drill that weekend and i wana be ther for the meet soo help me out people
 
OK. I had to make a username to post on here. There is no way you guyz are changing the date to this please dont tell me u are. I took a whole weekend off on march 29th just to drive all the way down to Miami to be there. The 29th is over 4 weeks away from now. Im sure alot of people arlready planned for it.

I say we keep the date and add another date before it if you want.
 
I called up a couple other guys that are showing up and they told me they'd rather not have the date changed. After the 29th I myself am gone for about 1 week 1/2 on a trip to California with my girlfriend so I won't be able to plan anything after that until I get back to Miami.

I do like the idea though of having an additional DSM-meet possibly before. All depends on you guys.

I have the 29th marked down on my calendar already, so I'd prefer if the date isn't changed. Plus, there's GSXGurl taking off the whole weekend just to make it. Another chick! With a GSX!! It'll be nice having another girl to keep my company :).

Yeah.

Just a re-post, the date for the DSM-BBQShoot out meet is on the 29th of March at Tropical Park around 1PM. Try to head there earlier then that if possible. I myself will probably be there around 11am.

Dude, 1st gens are what we NEED! LOL. Last meet we had no 1st gens at all. Feel free to come on over man. 1g's get a lot of respect here in Miami.
