Ive had a mitsu metal head gasket on my car for about 8 months now. The timing belt went and bent some valves so Im rebuilding the head. Ive read a few places that the metal headgastkets are reusable. Is this recomended? I can save about 100 bucks which would be nice but will buy another if needed.

Yes, the MLS headgaskets can be reused. I talked to RRE about this and have personally reused my Mitsu MLS HG with no problems whatsoever.

i third the motion! no! the gasket has been subjected to heat and crushing from torquing it down. believe it or not you might not notice a difference in your car by driving it but i tell you this do a compression check with a new mls gasket drive your car for a couple of miles and take it off. then put it back on and do the compression check again and tell us what you think. its not the same!!
